Parking Rip Off
Nov 2021
Spent the day in Lytham and called at the Pier for an ice cream on the way home.
I didn't see the parking sign but as was sat in the car waiting (with the engine turned on) for my wife to get it I would have moved if the space was needed but it was empty.

I spent 17 mins in the car and then received a £60.00 fine for the privilege as they have stealth cameras.

I have spent many hours during my life as a child and as a parent at the Pier but never again.

The ice cream was good.

Nice cafe at the pier
Oct 2021 • Couples
Called in the pier whilst we was at St Annes. There are no toilet facilities, and all that was there inside was a amusement arcade. It was busy and the children seem to be enjoying themselves. The outside of the pier is closed as they are doing renovation work, which is inevitable with an old pier. Will call next year and hopefully be able to walk outside on the pier. The cafe at the front of the pier did a lovely hot chocolate drink, which was reasonable priced and was busy. Worth a visit.

Everything closed past the amusement arcade
Sep 2021
Only the amusements are open at entrance and cafe.
No toilets available and anything past the amusements is closed off.no access.
Disappointed especialy those who paid to park .then find it closed off and notice given at entrance to pier not on the payment points

No cafe, pier closed at 4, no toilets, can't go outside when it is open, £2.30 parking. Take away coffee bitter and cheap.

By a lot of regeneration work on the pier and a reinstatement of the toilets. The pier is currently no more that a big arcade and closed off after that

Poor basic amenities
Jul 2021 • Couples
You can’t deny how beautiful the pier and surrounding area is, however there is no access to public toilets anywhere for which you do not have to have a 20p coin. Since covid people rarely carry cash anymore, and even without Covid this would be unacceptable as when encouraging tourists of all ages to visit the area, at the very least there should be open and easy access to public toilets. we have visited many areas in the UK and it is highly unusual to still have to pay for a public toilet. Shame on the council for not prioritising this important amenity for the tourists which they clearly hope to attract. We were considering staying for aLonger period and find accommodation but we decided not to bother.
