This is a very old church within a beautiful village of Egleton the opposite side of the Bird sanctuary

This church is small but worth a detour to see. Its wall paintings (uncovered in restoration) are beautiful and of great antiquity.. There is a great sense of peace here. Its really as England used to .

On our walk around parts of Rutland Water we came across St Edmunds Church. Sadly like most churches it was locked however the churchyard provided a peaceful and cool spot to rest before carrying on our way.
