27 hole Golf Course on the edge of Rutland Water, 18 hole championship and a 9 hole Par 3. Clubhouse with restaurant and courtyard, breakfast/lunches/ Sunday lunch served all year round and evening dining throughout the summer months. Marquee wedding/ party venue. Private upstairs function room with balcony overlooking the golf course. New for 2016- Luxury Accommodation and self catering cottage.

Never before at a golf club have I felt so uncomfortable from the moment we walked in to the restaurant area after our round of golf! I understand there are laws in place due to covid but common curtesy and customer service should not be thrown out of the window. We were first told we couldn’t order a sandwich and then just sit there drinking all day!!! How rude to presume that was what we were intending! The manor in which we were served I thought was blunt and somewhat rude as well. When it came to paying our bill the lady said there was some confusion because we had been moving between tables in our group. This was not the case. They had asked us to sit down after two of us had already ordered at the bar. It was their confusion not ours. Finally three of us were told to leave the table of four when one of us hadn’t even finished!!!! In summary.... not a very nice ambience and felt we were judged from the start because we were an all male group.
If your open to serve food and drink to your customers don’t make them feel as if they are doing something wrong. We all followed the guidelines.
I’ll struggle to go back without this visit in mind.

I played the golf course as a visitor. The weather was wet consistent light rain. I thought the course was fantastic! The tees, fairways and greens were all in excellent condition especially given the weather. I thought there were some really interesting holes and a great mixture with a couple of drivable par 4s and plenty of longer tests. The greens are also some of the slopiest I've played, in the best way. A true test, don't think I had a straight putt the entire round. And of course some of the views from the course are fabulous!
All of this for the great price of £28! I've played courses for double that price on winter green fees that weren't as good as this!

Stayed for two nights in one of the rooms available on site. Absolutely clean & comfortable. Ample plug sockets for golfers charging their batteries. Lol. Everything needed for a short stay. Great bathroom. Tea & coffee tray. Room serviced after first night. Fabulous breakfast!!!
Food service in club house finished about 7pm & bar at about 9. Remember this is a golf course. No staff overnight but telephone numbers available in an emergency.
Lovely seating area outside for drinks.
Golf course extremely scenic with views of Rutland Water. A challenging course. Enjoyed two rounds. Facility also has well stocked pro shop, driving range & plenty of parking.

Stayed here for my husband's birthday last week, and couldn't fault it. The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The fresh milk in the room was a nice touch!
Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit and yoghurt, freshly baked crossaints and then a full English - certainly didn't leave still hungry!
Lovely par 3 golf course too, we've played a few times now and always enjoy the views of Rutland water.
Weather was extremely kind to us too which made our stay even more enjoyable.

What an absolutely stunning course!!! The wind made the last few holes hard work, but in no way did that spoil our enjoyment. The staff in the pro shop were different class aswell, friendly, helpful and full of advice. Simply put, it’s a shame that we don’t live just a little closer as I’d pay the membership fee in a heartbeat!

Just got back from a short break staying and playing at Rutland Water Golf Course. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were exceptionally well kept. It took two rounds to get used to the speed of them. The course was extremely well kept and the rooms are fantastic. The website does not do them justice. Friendly staff in the pro shop and the clubhouse. Couldn’t fault a thing. The breakfast was locally sourced and fantastic! We will be back soon 🙌

We had two wonderful days at the hotel and played the course also twice. Must say accommodation was very good and the breakfast was outstanding. Staff both in the pro shop and the restaurant was friendly and helpful. Condition on the course could be a bit better especially the bunkers. Greens on back nine had been holed and I do understand that this needs to be done, and of course the dry summer has not helped. But we can definitely recommend this place and we are looking forward in visiting again.

The course and the accomodation was fine, but the lady who runs it (Debbie) spoilt our trip completely!
She got our booking completely wrong and then blamed us for it? (I know she will deny it because she is one of those people who is never in the wrong)
She has the lovely staff who sadly are petrified of her.
We loved the place but we wont ever go back while she is running it.
Such a shame

We had a lovely game of golf, first time we had been here.
The course was interesting and the views wonderful.
Also had lunch and bought some items in the Pro Shop
Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We were guests at a Golden Wedding Anniversary at Rutland Water Golf Club last weekend and family and friends had booked all the rooms. Matt and his team provided the most amazing buffet, the best we had ever had, all home made and cooked on site absolutely delicious. Those guests who stayed loved the rooms, loved the final details down to luxurious bedding, towels and toiletries. Nothing scrimped on here. As for the breakfast, superb. Nothing to much trouble and again all fresh ingredients all home cooked. Friendly people who really cared and views to die for. Excellent. Loved it.
