About
Welcome to Truffles Deli. Set right in the heart of the Wye Valley, Ross-on-Wye sits on the famous sandstone cliffs over looking the river Wye. There nestled on the cobbled high street which leads from the market square to the river, Truffles Deli is a foodie haven for young and old alike. Stocking everything a deli should and more, you'll find Cheeses, Cakes, condiments, Olives and Drinks in abundance. If that wasn't enough we also sell home made sandwiches that are made to order, home made soup and a selection of salads to either takeaway or eat in our secret courtyard. This is all made in our own kitchen at the back of the deli where you can see our team hard at work. As well as stocking the best of Herefordshire and surrounding counties we also stock some great Italian and Spanish lines. We make most of our own cakes, quiches, salads and pastries right here in the shop, customers often ask us if we can bottle the smell of the shop! We hope to see you soon.

Quaint eatery with fantastic great food and friendly staff. As you would expect the artisan shop it has quality products with the associated prices. We enjoyed lunch, if a tad chilly by the front door.

Visited Ross on Wye for the day, and came across this wonderful place.
Excellent Gluten Free options available.
The best jacket potato I’ve ever had outside of my wife’s cooking. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her home made mushroom soup too.
Very helpful staff in a clean and pleasant environment.
The cheese selection on sale looked delicious, just a shame we were on holiday and couldn’t purchase any.
Prices extremely reasonable too.
Shame we don’t live near here, because we would certainly be back.

We were in Ross on Wye for a day trip and on the hunt for some lunch. We stumbled upon this little deli, which was absolutely perfect.
We managed to get a seat in the window, so we ate inside. The selection of food was wide and mix of flavours was fabulous. We were served quickly and the food tasted wonderful. Very flavourful but not overwhelming, you could really taste the quality of the bread and meats. They’ve clearly been very selective about where they source their produce. Pricing was good too.
Staff were very friendly and efficient. After my partner and I finished our sandwiches and jacket potato, we shared a piece of “Hailey’s homemade carrot cake” - again, full of flavour, moist and delicious, beautifully presented on a plate with blackberries and a dusting of icing sugar. Attention to detail is very high. The carrot cake was so good that we took a piece of “Hailey’s Lotus Biscuit Slice” away to have with a cup of tea when we got home, which again, didn’t disappoint! That was very rich so I’m glad we spilt it, but couldn’t fault it.
The only “let down” if you will, was the toilet facilities. It is a very basic outhouse. Didn’t bother us but some people could perhaps be put off.
Next time we’re in Ross on Wye we’ll definitely be coming back. Hopefully it’ll be a little bit warmer so we could sit in the secret garden section, but if not we’ll be getting food to take away!
Thank you to the lovely team!

We stopped here a few months back but only just leaving a review. Thought about the sandwich I had here weekly since May!
A gorgeous deli, very friendly service and out of this world sandwiches. I had roasted vegetables with goats' cheese and a chilli jam/chutney. Beautiful bread, generously filled with a side of crisps and an excellent salad which actually seemed to have been thought through (salads are almost always just an afterthought).
Irritated my wife for the best part of a week talking about how much I enjoyed eating here. Will be back one day hopefully. Thanks.

We were hungry and weary when we came across Truffles after a long walk in the valley. What a find it was: the welcome was very warm, we relaxed and ate our way through paninis and jacket potatoes with prawns and avocado, lemon drizzle cake, chocolate and banana cake. The coffee was top notch (and nice big cups!). They sell fresh local cheeses too but didn’t partake this time. Wish I had a Truffles near me - it’s streets ahead of your average deli, I wouldn’t miss it if you’re in Ross...

Ordered a sandwich to take away asked to wait in the courtyard to the side of the Deli.
With it taking 15 minutes to get our sandwich the small courtyard filed to capacity quickly and social distancing became impossible.
Food was excellent and not over priced.
Given the crowds in Ross over the peak holiday period I would suggest giving it a miss due to the lack of space around the village and none existent social distancing , if your grabbing a bite to eat from the Deli head down to the river to eat your fare crowd free.

Always a joy to visit. Great range of home made sandwiches served with a smile. Not many tables inside though so be aware when you visit.

We had two superb sandwiches here. Freshly made with delicious ingredients, the selection is huge so deciding on our fillings was a bit of a challenge. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We also managed to grab a hand made pork pie and a cheese and vegetable tartlet. Yum!

I visited Truffles twice during a recent visit to Ross-on-Wye and had delicious food both times. The sandwiches are great, as is the selection of deli foods and cheeses. If I lived locally, I would regularly be spending a lot here. But the true highlight is the absolutely charming little "secret" garden where you can enjoy your food and drink. You'd never guess you were just a few feet from the high street!
