Established in 2015, we provide everything you need for an unforgettable day on the water - from lessons and kit hire to guided estuary explorations, all tailor-made for families, beginners and experienced paddleboarders. From £24 per person.

Marcus was a brilliant instructor - first time paddleboarding for my wife and I and we were out for two hours in pretty tough conditions but never struggled. He took us to all the sheltered bays and then out into the rougher stuff as we grew in confidence. Most fun you can have in a couple of hours round here - highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back again. Come try it!

Our daughter purchased gift vouchers for my wife and I to have a personal paddle boarding experience at Salcombe. Marcus and his wife were so friendly and helpful. Looked after us all the way for a really lovely experience. Marcus took us up the creek (with a paddle!) first to get us happy about standing up on the boards. Then we had a very gentle paddle up towards the Kingsbridge estuary. Weather was perfect and neither of us fell in. Note the ’tripod stance’ was very helpful when a passing boat made a bit wobbly! Highly recommended experience when In Salcombe.

We had a absolutely fantastic paddle boarding lesson with Sam. We had never tried paddle boarding before but Sam put us at ease & went through the basics before taking us out on the water, we went to a quiet spot around the corner to give us chance to practice standing before taking us on a tour of the estuary.
Sam was great, very friendly & patient with us.
It was brilliant to see Salcombe from a different view!
There are changing rooms/toilets/a small shower for afterwards & all our belongings were safely locked up in the unit while we were out.
Next time we are in the area we will definitely come back for another go!
As the roads are pretty narrow lanes to get there (it’s on the other side of the estuary from the town)
We parked in the town & used the ‘Salcombe ferry’ which runs across the estuary, (£2 something pp) and then a 10min walk on the other side. Much easier than trying to navigate the small lanes!

Had my one to one paddle board session today with Harry and I cannot recommend it enough! The session starts with the basics of paddle boarding and then you go on a paddle round Salcombe. Harry was encouraging, interesting and made the session really fun. If you are looking to learn how to paddle board or just improve skills these guys are a must. Thank you for a great afternoon!

As somebody completely new to paddleboarding I had some questions in advance of my session, which I emailed to them. These were answered promptly and very positively by Sam and he made me feel reassured and confident to give it a try. On the day, my session was taken by Harry who was very patient and explained everything very clearly, one step at a time. As a result, I learned a lot and managed to paddle standing up - which was more than I was expecting! The whole session was very relaxed and great fun. Harry was a brilliant teacher and if I am in Salcombe again I would certainly go back! I had an awesome time - thanks!

We all loved our 2 hour paddleboarding session in the estuary . Zac our instructor was friendly , chilled and lots of fun . He made us feel safe and calm with lots of encouragement.
We had to re-book this trip as our holiday dates changed due to Covid isolation and Kate was so helpful and reassuring when managing our booking . This was very much appreciated.
Would definitely recommend booking with these guys for a fab family experience.

Enjoyed a lovely morning out on the beautiful waters around Salcombe with Sam …who was really friendly and helpful.
Salcombe Watersports is based in a nice waterside building at Port Waterhouse and is so well set up …with changing rooms, shower and gear (waterproof jacket, dry bag) to borrow as needed. Such a lovely spot to launch from. I hired a kayak, and my bro and niece took paddle boards,
It’s a bit of a drive to get there, but good instructions and easy parking.

Our three teenage boys had a great time, having been initially sceptical about going out with an instructor. Parents were also happy that they were supervised! Plenty of safety measures in place in case of emergencies and the instructor made the experience fun for them. Would definitely use again.

None of us have ever done paddleboarding so we booked a two hour lesson with Marcus.
Brilliant experience with an instructor who had so much experience very friendly and helpful with excellent Paddleboards.
One of our family members also booked a kayak thay you can also do there.
Highly recommend a visit.

I have enjoyed Kayaking around Salcombe for the past 10 years and have recently purchased a different type of Kayak in which I needed to learn new skills. Salcombe Watersports could not have been more helpful and accommodating to my request. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and taught me many skills and theory to the methods I will specifically use to keep myself safe when Kayaking. As I Kayak alone it was important that I learnt what to do if I fall out, whilst the instructor taught me these skills I was delighted that he said 'lets firstly focus on the skills how not to fall out' and taught me some fantastic skills in this. I will now be able to focus on and practice these methods to develop my skills. I am already so much more confident and therefore really enjoying Kayaking.
