A perfect viewpoint of the boats coming in and out of Salcombe. Beautiful beach with shallow drop-off so reasonably safe for children. Definitely worth a visit. Parking quite reasonable and easy to walk to Salcombe town (about 10 min walk). A perfect base for a...More

Lovely sandy beach with sea seemed safe, flat and clear. Lots of shells and things to collect. Only slight issue is that dogs were allowed off leads which wouldn't be a problem if people with badly behaved dogs could keep them under control. I moved...More

If the tide is out before it gets too busy, a lovely beach to let the dog run. Can also walk out to the Castle. Quite small but very sandy. Very pleasant.

You can walk your dogs on this beach and at 8am every morning there are lots of them.. Dogs are not allowed on South sands Beach and there is a warden who hits you with a £70 fine so be carefull and avoid that beach

Tricky as the beach is relatively wet and therefore soft sand. Incline to the beach is also modestly steep. Widish pavement however overlooks the beach
