Visited on a quiet day. Staff were helpful and friendly. There's a play park for kids. Nice picnic areas and the talks are very informative. Very interesting. We visited for about 4.5 hours.

A beautiful and fascinating interactive museum and living history village. It was great to get my teenage daughter off of her phone and have fun making bread and chocolate, trying on costumes of past days, plus playing all the classic games in the schoolyard playground....More

Just a 10 minute drive from the Horn of Plenty, this place takes you back in time. You get to see how people lived when mining was thriving. The trip to the mine was very educational. Well worth a visit.

Visited on a dull and rainy day. The trip into the copper mine was well worth paying the extra entrance fee for. Rick, the guide, was a real gem. He brought the stories alive. The train is open to the elements until you get into...More
