A few free parking spaces outside if you’re early enough
Jan 2020 • Family
We had heard that this establishment had been done up so I thought we would check it out, unfortunately we are quite disappointed when we got there. We felt that it was overpriced for the space and equipment inside compared to other soft plays in East Sussex. The tea and coffee was very underwhelming and unfortunately because of the food that was being served it smelt like a greasy spoon. It’s a good space, just not utilised well

Not suitable for babies
Jan 2020 • Family
Visited for the first time this week with a group of friends and our 6month olds. The baby and toddler part was minimal and some of the toys were very dirty! I think the area needs attention as having a non walking baby of 6months then having a toddler running around in there isn't really compatible it should be for non walkers only they have the entire building to play in. Also everytime someone opened the toilet doors we go a horrible smell of poo and i decided to hold and change my daughter in the car after seeing the state of the toilets. Food wise nothing healthy on the menu except jacket potato and came out with our hair and clothes stinking of chips and the high chairs dirty with no baby food station for heating food/bottles.

Sadly not as good as it used to be
Aug 2019 • Family
Been here numerous times
My kids absolutely loved it before the refurb
-You used to be able to run around and hide
When we visited recently i felt the £5.95 per child and the charge for the adult is quite a lot especially when you have three children it suddenly feels like it’s not good value and you can go elsewhere for an afternoon and have more fun
Upstairs there isn’t much to do
My 18 month old had fun but my 9 and 6 year old didn’t as much ...perhaps it’s an age thing
I felt it was shabby in places upstairs and needed abit of tlc and the role play felt very sparse and felt it could be so much better -Great idea just not executed brilliantly

Health & Safety
Oct 2018 • Family
Parking was hard and Barneys was very crowded as you would expect in half term, but it’s a great refurb. However my 3 year old granddaughter got stuck in the slide, beneath 3 other children and was screaming for mummy! We managed to get her out safely then we found a giant cushion/block wedged in the slide, which was preventing children getting out of the slide once they were in there. This could have had dangerous consequences. In my opinion Barneys is understaffed and should have someone monitoring the equipment on busy days as this was.

My children adore it here!
Oct 2018 • Family
This is both of my sons favourite soft play centre. After an extensive refurbishment, there is an amazing role play area that my older son could easily spend all day in. It has a bakery/tearoom, a beauty parlour, a post office, a fire station and a train table, all of which could entertain my children (5yrs and 3 yrs) for hours! The soft play area is also perfect as you can keep an eye on your kids from almost every angle so you can sit and have a cuppa while they are playing. The food is always really nice and very reasonable and the drinks well made. They offer gluten-free cake which my mother, who sometimes come with us, loves as she is coeliac and she says it is the best she has ever had. They have lots of parties held here and I have booked one in December for my son as he won't go anywhere else. This place is a real gem for creative and active kids and will wear them out nicely for the weekend!

Good but busy
Aug 2018 • Family
Arrived not long after 9.30am and has a smaller sized soft play and plenty of chairs and tables. This barn also has an extra section which can be only accessed with an adult but is fab! Called Barnington, it is a proper role play area for kids with sections such as the post office, cafe, beauticians and fire engines. The only thing I would say is it does take a lot of children for a small play barn. Go early for the best experience.

Grandaughters favourite
Feb 2018 • Friends
My Grandaughter loves this place. It's a safe play environment for children. There's refreshments to choose from . Light lunches, sandwiches and snacks. Hot and cold drinks. £1 per adult. £5 per child.. Great way to pass a couple of hours.xxx

Not the best.
Jan 2018 • Family
Play area it’s self is good for 2-6 year olds. However, queued to get in for 20 minutes with a fed up 2 yr old because the only till was taking entry payments AND food orders at the same time! Ridiculous.
Huge wait on food which was a bit pricey so didn’t bother. Very busy, not sure if they have a maximum capacity limit but was bursting at the seams. Ended up sitting on the floor by the loos! Won’t be rushing back.
