Went here in Autumn as we were told it is beautiful at this time of year and the recommendations were spot on. Draw backs are the car park was full so we had to park away and walk up the country lane to get to it and the toilets as with seemingly all National Trust estates are at the entrance... More

Well worth a visit, this garden is on a grand scale. A wonderful collection of trees surrounding magnificent lakes. An ideal venue if you are disabled and using a wheelchair..

Even on a VERY cold day at the end of November we were very happy to stroll around this beautiful place with its lakes and waterfalls. There was a friendly greeting at the entrance, and the loos were very clean. The gardens are as well kept as one would expect from the National Trust. Lovely visit.

Arrived 1pm and left at 2.30pm due to bad weather, this is the second visit and it's a lovely place. Easy to walk around and with clear signs where Wheel Chairs and Motorised vehicles which they supply should be used on certain paths. Staff friendly and colours amazing, well worth a visit. If you have National Trust cards it's free... More

Visited here for the first time, although I live outside Eastbourne, I have passed here a few times and have often visited the nearby Bluebell Railway. Autumn is probably the perfect time to go as the trees are in amazing colours of brown red and gold and perfect for photos with the lakes as reflections. So many trails to walk... More

Whatever the time of year this glorious National Trust garden has so much to offer. Springtime gives an abundance of now life, blooms forming and some colours appearing, with the leaves forming on the vast range of trees that fill the various views, with cuttings through where views over the lakes are framed Summer brings the beauty of so many... I finally made the trip to see the gorgeous autumn colours at Sheffield Park at the beginning of November with my mother ( in a wheelchair) and 3 dogs. Although it was a Sunday during half term and we had to queue for a short time to get into the car park there was plenty of parking space and once... More

We came here at the beginning of November. We were bowled over by the beauty of the planting and landscaping, the wonderful trees and amazing autumn colours. There is also a nice cafe and good shop. a great day out. The National Trust at its best.

We visit at least twice a month however late September and November are probably the best times for colours. My camera is always with me to record the brilliant trees and shrubs that live in the gardens. Four lakes are sited around the park area and all are worth a visit. Add Nymans NT to a days visit and you... More
