For the past 6 years wanted to see beautiful Autumn colours in Sussex. Finally i did and there is no better place for it than Sheffield park. Located not far from Uckfield and E Grinstead. It's amazing place to spent sunny beautiful day. Privately owned Sheffield park belongs to National Trust. October is the month to visit if you want... More

Arrived ten minutes before opening to find main car park half full! We spent a good two hours walking most of the paths in the garden, slowed down by stopping to take photographs of the wonderful vistas which opened to us at every turn. We then walked through the park to the Bluebell Railway and back - an open walk... More

Beautiful place for walking and relaxation. At the moment stunning Autumn colours. National Trust property, possible to join at the door. Less expensive than the entry fee! It's the sort of place where one can return week after week and not be bored with the changing views.

Sheffield park is Autumn personified. The best time to visit the park is during autumn when you are bombarded with the various hues and shades of red, orange, yellow and green as the leaves begin to fall. They have a wide range of acers which give this park a very unique look during autumn. It is a must do for... More

Wonderful park and gardens of 300 acres, especially in autumn with the trees in reds, yellows, orange shade colours of autumn.. Enormous lake, and superb walks. There is a Private house but this is not owned by the National Trust only the park and Gardens. There is also a path down to the Bluebell railway. The best part was the... More

Although some of the members of staff were expecting us by previous arrangement, we were a group of 42 people in total arriving by coach. When we arrived, some went into the cafe`whilst others decided to go straight into the gardens. We were fortunate with the weather, when the sun came out it was lovely & warm, but having said... We visit many NT locations as long term members and we always eat whilst at the venue. Sheffield Park is lovely but I dread the experience of the Tea Room. Today was no exception. Walk into a large under used shop area and then into a very small food serving area with always a huge queue. The serving area is... More

The garden is lovely but the tea rooms let it down. The garden wasn't that busy when we visited on Monday - it is a bit too early for the full autumn colours - but there was a long wait at about 2pm just to get tea and a scone (stale) and very few tables to sit at. The National... More

Good property for gentle walks with water, not strenuous as mostly level with gravel paths. Several lakes with cascades, lots of specimen trees. Autumn colour should be good in a couple of weeks. Mobility scooters available to hire, including tandem ones. Coffee and a cheese scone in the cafe, part of which is in a panelled hall. Cosy with the... More
