Clean, open and welcoming
Mar 2020 • Solo
This town centre church has recently had the pews taken out, but it is worth a visit to see the windows, use of space and to make use of the coffee morning that is on Friday and a couple of others days.

Lovely church in center of Wallingford
Oct 2019
Arrived in town with market going on in center that day. Cross the street to church and the market continued into the church. Very warm and friendly atmosphere from the locals. Bought some of the best bread I’ve ever had at the market and ate while on our walk to a Wallingford Castle grounds. Thank you for a wonderful day Wallingford !

Wonderful
Jul 2019 • Solo
This church is in the centre of this small, posh market town and has had its pews taken out. Inside there are now smart chairs, a marvellous war memorial and an area to buy coffee and cakes. A lovely building to visit and relax in.

Open church
Jan 2017 • Solo
Always good to find a church open. I loved the prayer tree, a large wooden palm tree with luggage labels to tie on for prayers. And I was really grateful to find an open loo!!

A reverse Tardis: looks smaller inside than outside
Nov 2016 • Solo
Having noticed my previous review from April, which is for a different, nearby church, I really should do a review on this church that I have recently visited.

Right in the centre of Wallingford, the church is between the two roads that go through the town, just behind the wonderfully old market/town hall building.

Some very good stained glass and a very old organ make for an interesting interior, that looks quite small from the inside compared to what you see outside.

Overall, a quiet place in a quiet town: worth visiting if wandering round the town.

Coffee stop!
Oct 2016 • Friends
While wandering round Wallingford looked for a coffee stop and came across St Mary le More. We were made very welcome and although they were packing up still made us a nice cup of coffee with a biscuit to go with it!

Lovely little village church
Apr 2016 • Couples
Hidden down a dead-end road and hidden behind a hedge, this little church is no longer regularly used. Looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust, it is in relatively good repair. Wonderful stain glass windows; interesting wood-supported roof; nicely carved pews; interesting squint hole from the organ to the choir - well worth looking at. Outside, a calm cemetery - and if you look up at one end of the church, a carved grotesque on one of the supporting buttresses.
