The Brooklands Museum is a great day out, whether you are interested in cars, motor sports, planes, world war history, buses, there is something for you. Look out for special attractions - we were lucky enough to be able to ride in an MG on a section of the track and do the Concorde Experience (strongly recommend booking the latter in advance).
The only downside there is the Sunbeam Cafe, where the 'service' at the till point was sullen and unhelpful. Arrived to find there was nothing from the breakfast menu available 20 minutes after opening - apparently all sold out? - and only two sandwiches on the shelf.. That and the cost of drinks (such as a can of fizzy apple being well over £3), crisps and cakes is extortionate, and can make it a very expensive family day out. Strongly advise considering taking your own snacks.
Other than that, a good day at Brooklands, where the volunteers are wonderful, friendly and extremely knowledgable.

I went to Brooklands with a disability charity. In my group was our carer and my Autistic son. I had a map of the museum and my Concorde experience tickets.
Navigation between exhibits was simple, everything was clearly marked. I saw a few exhibits but my son was keen to see the busses so we heading to the Transport museum. My son really enjoyed going on the buses and taking pictures and dressing up. Most of the volunteers where extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the exhibits. There is a bus ride for small fee ( in older style bus) and car ride which we particularly enjoyed. The volunteers and drivers at the car ride were very helpful. I mentioned my son's disability when queuing and they asked us to come back in 20 minutes and come to one side and we will be seated which they did. They also assisted my son on car as he has some mobility issues.
There is a lovely kids space near the cars, deck chairs and huge outdoor games where we sat and had ice cream.
The cafe was a bit too crowded but the staff were helpful and accommodating. The food was nice as was tea and cake. Plenty of space to dine inside and outside.
We really liked the Concorde experience particularly the knowledgeable gentlemen explaining the history of Concorde.
We will come back but next time with more time as we missed a few exhibits I wanted to see.

Went for a day trip, and took in a car show too, also paid extra for the Concorde Trip.
The extra cars helped fill the day and we spent quite some time looking at all the museum exhibits etc.
as there was a car show on, there was extra food outside, we went for a cheeseburger each and a soft drink each. Not much change from £20!! The burgers were cold, and the soft drinks were warm, certainly not worth the money spent. It was particularly annoying as this stall was obviously run by the museum, whereas the others appeared to be 3rd party sellers, so we thought we were helping the museum.
The concord trip was interesting and worth the extra money.

For me, the Concorde Experience was the highlight of my visit. Very inexpensive at £6 and £3 for my grandson, it was a real feel of what Concorde was actually like (I'm lucky to have actually flown on it). I felt really emotional sitting in the cabin with the simulated flight going on. But the magic wasn't lost on my grandson, who really grasped the passion for the aircraft too, although he'd never even heard of it until I booked to take him to Brooklands. For him, the highlight was the racing car simulator which was wonderful and there was no additional charge for this, or for the flight simulator which he also loved. It was a great day out, although the cafe was very badly organised with separate queues for drinks and hot food which was awkward meaning you needed to be holding a tray with hot drinks while waiting in another queue to order food - very dangerous with the number of kids around. I actually just put my drinks on a table and left my grandson there while queueing for food and to be fair, I just told the cashier what I wanted and asked her to add my drinks to the bill which she did without hassle. Food was expensive for what it was and another time I'd eat first or take a picnic as the food let the place down, but other than that it was a fabulous day out, well worth the money and lovely that the kids activities didn't always cost extra. Very nice and knowledgeable volunteers helping with the activities and the Concorde experience.

Visited on Wednesday 21st July 2021 as part of a day out to Brooklands Transport Museum & Mercedes World with friends. Upon arrival, the SATNAV postcode on the Google address takes you to the wrong/exhibitors entrance rather than the main car park so just double check if relying on that. The car park is free and adjacent to the entrance. Initially, there is clear signage about the site and where you are located within it. The garages/halls cover different vehicle types and all based in part on any link they had with the site during its operational period. The volunteers really make this place as they were so knowledgeable and friendly. We had long conversations with several and they were very accommodating if say you wanted to take a photo as they would offer to remove the rope. We couldn't go on the Concorde as you had to book in advance, but there is so much to see it would be hard to see it all in one visit anyway. The cafe was lovely, with a limited menu but well executed. You obviously pass through the gift shop on the way out, which has an excellent range of items to suit all budgets. There was a £3 bus ride around Weybridge in an old Routemaster we enjoyed but it is 30 mins and is just a ride on a bus so go into that with your expectations clear, but beyond that, I cannot recommend it as a site enough.

myself and 2 friends pre booked our visit with Maddie via the office , needed mobility scooters for 2 as well. arriving at 1pm thursday 8th July our Covid safe check in completeed Maddie met us a gave a quick run down about the best plan for us.. Excellent way to start our tour. we spent a few hours on the moto bikes and push bikes and 2 hours on the superb collection of vintage cars. day 2 and we spent our time on the aircraft section and bus musuem including a 30 minute tour of the local villages on a vintage bus for £2,00. as our time drew to a close another few minutes was spent looking and talking about the track and the banking and you hold your breath in awe of the classic cars and driver's of yesteryear. just time to have a quick few minutes in the shop to buy a souvenir and say a huge thank you to Maddie for all her help and a great well done to all the volunteers who keep this marvellous place alive and so immaculate as well.
thank you all. we shall return

Brilliant day out, lots to do for anyone remotely interested in bikes, planes, motor bikes, buses, racing cars and aeroplanes. Lots to do we spent 6 and a half hours here! We booked the Concorde experience too which took about 40 mins. The volunteers are really knowledgeable and I think we saw more volunteers than staff. The food was expensive in the cafe so if with a family it would be more cost effective to take a picnic, there are benches available outside for this. Overall a great day out.

My wife and I had wanted to visit Brooklands Museum for twenty years, and finally attended last Saturday 10 July 2021. We had an amazing day (and will almost certainly go again).

The Museum site is in four main parts: 1. An introduction to the site, its history, its motorsports, including a small F1 museum. 2. Brooklands aircraft factory, which includes the Wellington bomber recovered from Loch Ness. 3. Aircraft Park with seven full size planes, including Concorde and 4. London Bus Museum. All were very interesting.

There is a small extra charge (£3) to tour Concorde, and we recommend this. Walk along the former finishing straight to see the banked over, built in 9 months in 1907. It is very steep, and so take real care if you walk up the slope.

We thought we know all of the major motorsport names, bit some new ones certainly cropped up. How about Percy Lambert - the first person to drive 100 miles in one hour?

While you are at Brooklands, walk (or drive) over to the Mercedes Benz World. It is very close, and with free parking and entry, too good to miss.

After 18 months or so we were finally able to use our Buyagift voucher for Brooklands Museum entry with the Concorde Experience and were not disappointed. We enjoyed our stay and a fascinating history of engineering awaits you; in motorsport, aviation, busses, and more.

The Concorde experience is a must see with the site hosting the original development/test aircraft and the tour guide very knowledgeable. On board awaits the timeline/history of Concorde, a few informative videos and a ‘flight’ to close.

The stratospheric testing chamber is also worth a visit, a unique exhibit for the UK.

My only advice is to ensure you get there from 10am and spend the whole day, there’s plenty to see and do, and we ran out of time having got there a little after 1pm.

I attended on 31st July car park speed bumps to big and harsh, bays are far too small even for my Nissan Micra, I expect many cars have been damaged, accidentally in the car park.my passenger had to get out before parking, and even with disable badge it some walk to entrance,
The Retro Auto Jumble was excellent, the car show very poor in way of classic with many modern cars with no history to the vehicle, and walking up a hill became a struggle with my friend.
The aircraft museum was very poorly lit,
The restaurant was not organised with two queues one for food, then for drinks, cost was expensive £19 plus for two sausage rolls chips, and two coffees.
On entering the restaurant we had to help a wheel chair user out of the cafe as there was no ramp with step to get over, not very pleasant for the wheelchair user.

Dear Gary, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate all feedback. Please be assured we have passed your feedback on to the relevant departments for them to review. For future reference we have mobility scooters that are available for visitor use that can be pre booked, this can make the site more manageable for those with access needs. We look forward to seeing you again at the museum soon.
