Terrible ! Very disappointing!
Dec 2019
Worst Full body massage of my life : 10 minutes short.
Before it started I filled a form pointing the body tension areas.
Clearly, the staff didn’t check it : Lady didn't touch my head or my feet.
What about full body ?
End up with a terrible headache.
Booked a slot at the meditation room , arrived on time but there was someone else using it. When I finally entered the room , 10 minutes from my 25 minutes time had already passed , so again 10 minutes short. The room was fine but it was impossible to relax in there : you can hear all the noise from the hallway: staff talking, doors being slammed, power engines machine being used.
Never again! Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.

Great facilities. Could do more on service.
Oct 2019 • Friends
Went on a deal for breakfast and one treatment for me and a friend for our 50th birthdays. Service at breakfast was outstanding and the food good. Spa facilities were unusual and excellent - the rooftop outdoor hot tub overlooks the Mercedes World track and accessible even in the rain; lovely hanging chairs to doze in; and a meditation room with beds filled with hot water (just lovely in the small of my back where I get regular pain). Unfortunately a couple of things really marred an otherwise great experience. I didn’t want to have my phone with me as this was supposed to be relaxing. But there is no system for customers to be reminded of their bookings (and you need to book to access anything beyond sauna/steam room and hot tub), and since at least one of the clocks was a good 20 minutes slow, we missed big chunks of our bookings. Also our deal included a free gift each, which I had to ask for. There seemed to be plenty of staff relative to customers so better service seems entirely possible.

Disappointing
Aug 2019
The sauna and steam room were separate for men and women and only accessible via the male and female toilets. Also they did not link directly to the only 1 hot tub which could only accommodate a handful of people. No, thank you.

Unfortunately Underwhelming
Aug 2019 • Friends
We came to visit for a birthday treat, but have to sadly agree with other negative reviews unfortunately.

The spa has limited facilities, really only the hot tub on the balcony is noteworthy. The sauna and steam rooms were stuck in the changing rooms and there was a lot of maintenance occurring when we visited, including wires hanging down from the ceiling where panels had been removed. There were a number of maintenance men walking around all day, which didn’t add anything to the ambiance!

I’ve never come across the sunlight therapy before, but this felt a bit of a candid camera moment! It was all a bit odd! The meditation room lovely, but it was all untidy when I visited - I felt like I was getting into someone else’s unmade bed!? - there were used pillows and blankets on the beds, which seemed a bit odd?!

There were lots of staff, but they weren’t overly friendly or at all helpful. It appeared a number of them were agency staff, or working there to make up hours/salary from other areas of the hotel, so guess they didn’t really want to be there! The treatments were OK.

It felt a bit of a conveyor belt & somewhat unprofessional unfortunately. That said, a few tweaks and a bit of care over the spa would make a HUGE difference! Music playing in the corridors, scents wafting and some dim lights would all easily help their cause with minimal expenditure!

We came on a deal, and still think it was expensive for the experience. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for the type of stay we were looking for.

HUGE disappointment
Jul 2019 • Friends
Arrived and the receptionist seemed annoyed and unwelcoming.... manicure treatment lasted exactly 10 minutes (was unapologetically rushed and unfriendly).

For afternoon tea, when requested dietary considerations, receptionist seemed annoyed to have to accommodate (in the hospitality service industry, one would expect that the guests wishes are graciously attended to). The staff all seems rather unfriendly and unfortunately the tension and gossiping they seem to entertain creates a gloomy energy for guests.

Felt uncomfortable and would not recommend as a spa retreat, plenty of options available! ☺️

Overpriced, under delivered
Jun 2019 • Couples
We did the relax and indulge package which did not live up to the name, and was not worth the money.

The facilities were disappointing. The sunlight therapy room was interesting as we hadn’t come across one before. It’s a shame the sauna and steam rooms are in the changing rooms so my husband and I couldn’t go in together, and the hot tub was okay but not particularly warm. The hot stone massages were good and the highlight.

The afternoon tea was poorly done - dry sandwiches, flat heavy scones, and we tried each cake but didn’t finish any of them as they were either dry or unpleasant.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this and won’t be returning.

Red Letter Day Gift
May 2019 • Couples
My husband and I were given a Red Letter Day voucher for afternoon tea and spa treatment as a Christmas present.

First thing I must mention is that I am on crutches as I have arthritis in my knee which makes getting around particularly difficult. I’ll get to my only problem with the spa later.

On our arrival we were shown the facilities and were advised of the time for our afternoon tea and our treatments.

We were shown to the changing rooms. Separate female and male changing facilities. The changing rooms do not have separate cubicles so it can be a bit intimidating if you don’t like undressing in front of others. There are separate toilets which you could use. There are 3 shower cubicles which you could use also. Free lockers.

From changing we decided to head for the hot tub and this is where my one and only problem occurred. The hot tub is on an outside balcony. The door out to the hot tub has a very high step. It would be impossible for a wheelchair bound guest to get out there. Then there are the steep steps up to the hot tub no ramp. My husband had to help me up the steps then down the steps into the tub. The last step of the tub is also quite deep down. There would be no way a fully disabled customer would be able to use this. This is supposed to be for hydrotherapy but it’s not useful for someone as previously stated. Also the hot tub is outside. Even though the day was sunny there was still a considerable breeze and the hot tub is under a canopy if you didn’t have your whole body submerged in the water the wind was cold because of the lack of protection. It was especially hard getting out of the tub. Not only because of the steps but because of the wind and getting cold before being able to get a robe back on. Another thing is that there is nowhere to hang your robe. You had to dump it on the decking. It was nice to get back inside.

From the hot tub we went back to the reception area where we were served our afternoon tea. This was very scrummy. You don’t get to choose what you want. We had some sandwiches. 8 fingers sandwiches. 2 were egg, 2 were smoked salmon, 2 were ham and mustard and 2 were cucumber. I could only eat the salmon ones because I don’t like the rest. My husband however did enjoy them. There were some beautiful scones with jam and cream. Also some other lovely cakes and tarts.

After the afternoon tea we were then ready for our treatments
We had both chosen to have a 50 minute facial. My therapist was called Charlotte. I’ve had quite a few facials in the past but I can honestly say that this was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. I felt totally relaxed after the treatment.

After the treatments we went to the sunlight therapy room. This was a lovely experience. There is a beautiful vista photograph of a tropical beach behind the sun beds and you could quite well imagine you were far away from everything. This lasts 25 minutes which is quite long enough. Sunglasses are provided.

Next we went to the meditation room. In here are 3 warm water beds. These were completely blissful. The beds mould to your body and are beautifully warm. Both of us fell asleep and were only woken by one of the therapists telling us that our time was up.

All in all were had a thoroughly great afternoon. Apart from the hot tub issue which,if we went again, I would avoid it was a very memorable experience. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

A fantastic afternoon. Belated Christmas present
May 2019 • Couples
Part of a Red Letter day voucher( 3-8pm) ,
A 50 minute facial, more than just a traditional facial, it included shoulders and arms too, an afternoon high tea, Wow, a lot of food ( 4 x finger sandwiches, 2 x scones with jam, clotted cream and homemade lemon curd.6 x cakes, cupcakes and tartlettes ( needed a doogies bag). Plus1 x hot drink, a pot of tea went down well.
As part of the Afternoon deal: use of the hot-tub overlooking the Mercedes Benz world track, 2 other treatments, we used the new sunroom,( pre-booking required), a large version of a SAD lamp, you could driftoff dreaming you are in a sun lounger on holiday in the sun. Plus the use of the meditation room, warm water beds in a quiet room ( pre-booking required). Very relaxing, in fact we had to be woken from our slumber.
All the staff were very professional and curteous, a great afternoon.
We would suggest a week-day deal as the week-ends tend to be very busy.
