In Good Condition
Feb 2020
Given all the recent bad weather this course was in very good condition. We have had so much rain here, I was surprised that it was nowhere near as muddy as I expected. Some run on the fairways and some less so. Greens very true but not as good as usual as they had been hollow tined. This course is always a delight to play, every hole is different, with some great views looking back to the tee. They have also re-introduced their carvery at lunch time, for winter golf, so we finished our day with a great meal .
Hopefully we will be back there next year.

Challenging but beautiful golf course and great club
Jan 2020
This golf course has a wonderful setting and is lined with abundant clumps of heather, trees, woodland, wildlife and water. We had a super days golf and a fantastic afternoon in the amazing, original old English club house where the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would play there every day if I could! Highly recommend a visit, enjoy.

Stunning golf day

Having admired Harry Colt courses for some time, especially Swinley Forest, I was really interested to play this other gem. The course is up there with Sunningdale Old in my book , great use of elevation changes , fairway contouring and bunkering. I enjoyed the wide fairways giving you a choice on the tee of a riskier but potentially more rewarding line or an easier tee shot but a nasty angle or lie to deal with for your second.
Staff and other golfers were friendly, great sausage rolls at halfway hut.
I enjoyed coming back to the clubhouse and then away again so you could happily play either red or blue first and not feet short changed.

Great course, and it’s worth taking in the names on the champions board, they’re basically a who’s who of golf.

Annual trip to St. George's Hill G.C with the Society. Stunning late October day with the course in superb condition. Warm welcome by friendly and helpful staff. Halfway hut well patronised as it was Captains day and he was footing the bill. Starters and deserts were excellent but for once the carvery was a bit of a letdown due to the vegetables being only lukewarm, clearly the overhead lamps were not at the right temperature. Chef was informed.

Worth a round to tick the box
Oct 2018 • Friends
The clubhouse, surroundings and ambience make up for the average golf course, as when you prepare to play a round on either combination of the 3 x 9 holes your expectations are higher than the layout. Don't get me wrong it is not an easy course to play and the greens are very tricky, but for a membership option I would probably choose somewhere else. The staff are very courteous, professional and organised, with superb service, fantastic food and good club house facilities. The property's surrounding the course on the estate are at a very different level from your average home which all makes up the experience of playing at this club.

One of the most beautiful courses to play on with some very challenging holes. Very friendly and helpful staff. They serve the best Sunday roast, definitely worth try!
