A lovely, well kept park
Apr 2021
We've used West Park for exercise this year during the pandemic and it's been a joy to walk around, even during very cold days. We visited today and the various Magnolia trees and Camelias looked absolutely amazing. There were lots of people sitting on benches enjoying some Spring sunshine, the place was spotless - not a bit of litter around - the little coffee shop was open for take away coffee and the staff were lovely. There are so many ducks, geese and swans on the lake too. Can anyone tell me what happened to the heronry ? We remember a lot of herons nesting at West Park but couldn't see any nests this time. All in all I'd thoroughly recommend this wonderful park with it's well kept shrubs, lovely mature trees and grounds. Take some bird feeder type nuts as the squirrels are so tame they take them from the flat of your hand !

Lovely place to walk before a match
Mar 2020
Well keep and brought memories from my 6 months at school in Wolverhampton. Having grown up in NZ I come back (pre-covid) at least every 2 years to visit my favourite Football ground.

Beauty in the city
May 2020
We're lucky to have such a beautiful and well kept park. When walking through and enjoying the spring sun, you wouldn't know you were a stones throw away from the city centre.

The geese, ducks, squirrels, the plants and flowers, the water, the bandstand, all make for a lovely relaxing environment to sit or stroll around. Go in spring time and you'll be treated to an array of ducklings, goslings and maybe even some cygnets.

The abundance of nature for us to enjoy on our doorstep is great.

Lovely Park Walk
Mar 2020 • Family
Free beautiful Park. Lovely for a nice relaxing walk. Beautifully designed flowerbeds. A large pond with a wide selection of birds, swans, ducks and geese. Squirrels can be seen too. It has lots of green areas with established trees. A beautiful setting for all age groups to enjoy.

Clean and safe
Feb 2020
I have stayed at a nearby hotel often and walked through this park. It is well maintained, the grass and beds are in good order. There is evident staff and supervision.
Overall ,it is very clean and tidy and I felt completely safe walking around on my own. There was no sight of empty bottles or drug syringes.
The kiddies area looked good and the boating lake is ,I am sure, a delight in summer.
A quiet oasis well worth a visit.
