Went to see Bellowhead earlier this year. The concert was brilliant and to be fair the sound etc was good, but the Civic is really grotty now. The ladies were mucky and not flushing properly before the concert - didn't care to find out what they were like after. The near by multi story car park is very convenient and... More

We went here for the above gig,we had a great night out, Marilyn Manson was on fine form,it was extremely crowded and hot in their,it could have been a lot better if it were not for two stupid 50 year old men from Newcastle being idiots crowd surfing and shoving everyone, that's the only thing that ruined it for me.The toilets... Appearance from the outside was certainly deceiving. This establishment needs money sinking into it and fast. Upon entering it resembled what you would expect from a civic hall in 1932! Dated and tired is an understatement. The seating was abysmal, cramped in like sardines is the term that springs to mind. Uncomfortable, dirty and musty with no leg room and... More

The faithful Civic Hall has a pedigree of decent musical events, exhibitions and all types of entertainment. I've seen David Bowie here, and The Smiths, and yesterday Tom Stade. 2 decent venues in 1! It does it all!

Had tickets for the Ken Dodd show on December 13th, doors to open at 18.00, show to start 19.00 hours. When we arrived at 18.10 many people had been queuing for half an hour, the delay in the doors being opened was due to sound checks, sadly this information had to be dragged out of the door staff, a local... This is a review on the venue itself, not the act. The acts, as expected, were extremely good. The venue, however, left a lot to be desired. We came to Wolverhampton having never been here before as a last-minute booking to see Dave Gorman (the only reason we managed to get tickets for this was because the original date was... More

Visited here last night. It's very small and cosy. It could do with a refurb. The plastic chairs are uncomfortable. And the place could do with a lick of paint. The show its self was fantastic. Getting around the building and being served at the bar was easy. We chose to sit on the balcony at the front. However, there... More

My first visit here for a long time, this time to see Michael Schenker and Judas Priest. The venue is good enough. Nothing to shout about ; indeed you can find similar venues up and down the country. Staff work very hard here and yet remain friendly ( I have a soft spot for the Wolverhampton inhabitants ) . There... More

Will never go to the civic hall again, I'd rather spend an extra 2-3 hours in the car and go someplace else. The toilets were absolutely foul, smelly, dirty, no lights in the cubicles so couldn't see a thing and the window had string tied around it I thought it was going to smash open at any moment! Hand dryers... More

Absolutely fantastic show, she was incredibly funny but the venue was appalling. The disabled lift wasn't working, the seats were cheap/ worn out and really uncomfortable. The floor was so dirty from drinks being spilt on it, your shoes stuck to it and the toilets were dirty with some out of order, bulbs blown and hand dryers it working. Would... More
