The perfect way to use a spare hour in Wolverhampton. It's the 2nd time I have had the pleasure. I really like the mix of historic and modern. Currently showing an interesting collection of Asian wares.

This is a superb gallery with very good permanent exhibitions as well as nationally famous visiting exhibitions. The venue is lovely, the staff very friendly and the café lovely. Situated in the centre of the city makes it easily accessable. Well worth a visit.

Being next to the shopping centre makes this gem of a museum very easy to pop into. There were some very creative, thought provoking and immersive exhibits to see, as well as some well thought out ones for children.Having a cafe was nice. I only had a spare hour on this visit but will look to return for a longer... More

A small centre of culture in the centre of the busy Wolverhampton main street . The presentations change and there is a mixed approach between meeting old favourites and being re-educated by new and updated presentations . I have visited at least once a year for the past 45 years since I began my love affair with Wolverhampton . There... More

A great balance between traditional fine art and modern. I love this gallery you get the best of both worlds artistically speaking. With permanent fine art exhibitions that are linked to local heritage, to modern art touring exhibitions that expose you to different artists, styles, techniques and perspectives. Previous exhibitions I have enjoyed have been the pop art and the... More

We visited during week day afternoon to see the Japanese block prints . As you would expect the exhibits were well presented, we the explored the rest of the Art rooms and found plenty to see understand and read about. We took a break and used the upstairs café and then carried on looking around. The staff were helpful friendly... More

Always plenty to see at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. We are very interested in the natural world so we found the video art entitled "Medusae" particularly engaging. Educational too, as I didn't know that Medusae was the Latin term for "jellyfish". This is a collaborative piece of work between Irish artist Dorothy Cross and her scientist brother Professor Tom Cross, in... More
