Family lunch for birthday celebration. Lovely refurbishment and staff were good but the food was a little disappointing I'm sorry to say. Probably wouldn't go back for food but nice for drinks.

It seemed they forgot our booking so wanted us to sit around 2 really small round tables and on stools. We asked to be seated at a table that wasn’t in use until 2.30 so had just over an hour to eat. Roast dinners were really disappointing. The meat was fatty (beef and lamb) and cheap tasting. Parsnips not cooked. Potatoes soggy rather then crispy. We didn’t stay for pudding. Went to Waitrose instead and stocked up on goodies. There was no apology from the staff or the really quite dismissive manager. I wasn’t offered my free glass of Prosecco or dessert. It’s quite nice for a drink but will not be eating here again. Had a better roast at the carvery!

Visited on March 17th when sun was blazing down !! Sat outside to have drinks and even though on the main coast road made for a very pleasant interlude. My only gripe was that my gin and tonic would have been so much better if it had plenty of ice and a slice.G&T needs to be ice cold and neither was.

Perhaps it was due to being a cold and wet Friday night or maybe the Pub Lease For Sale sign but The Royal Oak was very quiet on our visit and no ales on tap. Shame because its an attractive building with outside seating, and a large pleasant bar with very friendly staff.

Been here a few times, very drab and old fashioned. Staff ok, they put by my mobile by when I left it behind once. Staff a bit miserable. Food quite nice. Seating inside and benches outside. Pool tables, dart tables and juke boxes. Maybe a listed building or old oast house, distinctive green roofed building. A very local pub central to town, seems to be popular for families with kids.

Called in on a Saturday evening when visiting Worthing. There was a live group playing 50s, 60s and 70s music. The customers in the pub were all of a certain age but what a night. Music was superb, audience really interacted and everyone had a great time, us included. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. A really great atmosphere Will certainly go back.

A 30 strong crowd of us went there in school-kids fancy dress on a Saturday night. There was a really good black guy singing a good variety of songs very well and had us all up dancing. They have good English ales on pump and do a decent range of food. They also do other live music and quizzes on other nights. A great place for a night out. Wil come back to this one again.
