Myself and my friend have been planning a visit to this little pub for sometime, we finally made it. After finding it very easily from the station, we unfortunately made the mistake of not checking the opening times and realised we would not be able to go until the following day. Luckily having an overnight stay booked, we could come back. Which we did. Knowing the pub landlord would be quite surprised when he saw us made it all the more special. All beers and ciders are local as is the wine. A very small, quaint place just away from the seafront, lovely.

Definitely my favourite drinking venue no visit to Worthing is complete without stopping here for a pint. Its quirky and the layout of the tables and chairs are such that you cannot avoid getting into discussions solving the worlds problems.Great host with eclectic mix of customers.Good range of beers and local wines and a catering arrangement with the cafe next door.

If you are a fan of Ale this micro pub is for you. First class ale, knowledgeable service and a friendly atmosphere. Great local Sussex gin and mixers if you don’t fancy a pint. Love the front door- a must visit for beer enthusiasts

Really friendly welcoming landlord serving great quality local real ale. Very tiny and cosy so you really do get to meet the locals. Thanks for making us so welcome. The Mrs even got a decent glass of white wine. We will pop in again next time we are down there !

This is such a quirky gem, a total labour of love. Well-kept, friendly and intimate. Somewhere you can easily visit solo as it’s so friendly and inclusive. Smashing real ale selection and always interesting conversation to be had.

Stopped in to escape the rain - brilliant decision. Friendly and efficient bar staff, the place has been 'taken over' by local breweries so the beers and ciders were fantastic and a lively atmosphere without feeling you were overwhelmed.
I can't wait to go back.

I found myself in Worthing for work and decided to seek out this pub after finding it on the Good Beer Guide app. I thought it would be nice to to sample a pint before my dinner. It was a little daunting walking in as a solo woman, (with my book), but I looked around for the bar. As I entered further into the pub I was pleased to see an elderly man coming towards me, to greet me as I thought. Not so, his words :- "You've been here before." "No I haven't" . "Yes you have, and you caused a lot of trouble." He basically refused to serve me and told me to leave, despite all my assurances that I had never set foot in the place. When I appealed to all the other customers, who were riveted by this exchange, they remained silent and his words were " my pub, my rules". I have never before been so insulted, humiliated and hurt in such a way and I would advise giving this place a very wide berth.

Really friendly and hospitable owners. A good range of real ales. This place is meant to be small as in 'micro pub'. TThat's surely the whole point.
It's not a place for big groups of people and tends to attract friendly people who don' t mind talking to others across the room. I have often been in there and everyone gets involved in the conversation.
I am a wine drinker and they only have good local wine- everything is local.

I hope this intimate great place stays just as it is- it's a lovely change from noisy bars with televisions.

By far and away the best real ale drinking house in Worthing. An ever changing selection of Sussex brewed real ales plus Sussex Ciders and Wines. Never short of a conversation in this place, the layout lends itself to joining in the chit chat and debate. This place is always on my itinerary when visiting Worthing. An outstanding example of the Micropub. Well done to Nigel and Debbie.

If you like local ales (including cider, Perry and wine) and a friendly welcome try Worthings first micropub. It is quirky and small, but I guarantee within a few minutes you will be involved in good conversation with like-minded folks.
