We watched two movies here in the last week, while visiting the local area. The main entrance is very aged and tired, and in need of some renovation. The first movie we watched (1917) was in a screen so small it was almost like being at home. The quality of it was also poor with discolouration at the edges of the screen and not the usual crystal clear picture you’d get elsewhere. The sound was also poor with it difficult to hear some of the quiet speaking at times. The seats were ok but not overly comfortable.
The second movie we watched the following day (Sonic) was in a large screen but again the sound and picture quality wasn’t great, and here the seats were awfully uncomfortable too.

It seems that Cineword has been somewhat left behind the times and hasn’t kept up with other competitors and does lead to a very average experience.

Overall cheaper then other cinemas, but this comes with a compromise of smaller screens, poorer picture and audio quality and a very tired building.

On arrival everything was great the front of house ticketing staff were great and friendly and was considerate of the wheelchair and where it needed to be situated inside the theatre. However when I was attempting to buy some refreshments, and nachos which are an amazing buy, there was only 2 members of staff serving and despite being in a wheelchair, I was waiting longer than the adverts at the start of the movie. There should be more staff to serve more customers especially those in wheelchairs.

A great cinema, but is in desperate need of a makeover, with a a complete refurbishment and being brought into the 21st century, especially with the competition of IMAX and VueXtreme. Staff or always friendly and there to help.

We regularly go to Cineworld Ashford but today we sat in the Deluxe screen and it was lovely, double seats and single seat that were nice and wide. This is a small room with not many seats which makes it nice.
Today I visited with my 3 & 10 year old sons and husband and it was comfy and snug.

Took my employees out for a meal, shopping and a film- certificate 15- which I booked online. I spent £70 on the tickets, which I was issued with at the counter, after being asked if everyone was over 15- which they were. We proceeded to spend another £40 on food & drink and waited excitedly to watch the film. When we went to go in, we were refused entry, as we did not have ID for the teenage girls. Despite the fact that I explained to the manager that I was their employer, and I had my ID and business details, and one of their parents also present, confirmed their ages, the manager still refused to let us in- saying that basically parents lie all the time. We had driven to Ashford in appalling weather, to treat our girls as their works Christmas treat, but the management showed absolutely no heart, discretion- or intelligence. He even went so far as to say that he particularly questioned the age of a girl who then showed him her UCA student card, to which he replied, "it's not valid, it doesn't show her DOB". Obviously he does not have the intelligence to think that she must be over 15, because she is at college. Really Cineworld, I don't expect you to care, by the lack of management responses on here, but as a business woman and parent, I will never use this cinema again, and I will recommend no one else does either!

i went to the cinema too see a film with my girlfriend and her little sister, when to our shock we witnesses a member of staff (stuart) beimg abusive to his collegues he went over to the popcorn counter and said to members of staff
'i have told you i do not want them on the counter' as he pushed stacks of flyers off of the counter, this is queit frankly rediculos especially when my girlfriends little sister saw the whole thing, if i was a member off staff i would have flattened him absoloutely dispicable !!!!!! i will be making a formal complaint

Writing a review is all well and good but does anyone ever pick up on the complaints??? I have an Unlimited card and use the cinema quite regularly. I have complained on several occasions about the cold blasts of air conditioning while watching a film, but nothing is ever done about it. You see people sitting in their seats with their coats on or hoodies up, just trying to keep warm. This is not acceptable when going to the cinema.
Do something about it Ashford Cineworld!

Very disappointed to learn there is now allocated seating. One man was arguing with another over seating, caused everyone to stare. People were standing around trying to find their seats and must have got staff members to assist and 3 members of staff turned up...we then got told that everyone in the rows on the left hand side were in the row up from where they should have been sitting so everyone had to move down a row, very disruptive and this was all done in the dark whilst the trailers were showing so these were missed.
The staff were not polite or apologetic. There was obviously an issue with the way the seating was labeled for EVERYONE to have the wrong seat! We are looking to cancel our unlimited cards if this carries on as we do not fancy having arguments with people who may sit in our seats in.

Cinema was cold, food very expensive we had nachos and they were stale and the dip was tepid not great! The coffee was Luke warm and very strong. The whole trip cost over £35 for myself and friend. Would not reccommend especially now they have stopped orange Wednesday and are planning yet another pay increase!

I have the pleasure of being a cineworld unlimited customer. The card offers unrivalled value for money, especially at times when the cinema is awash with blockbuster releases. I have also used the card in cineworlds across the country and this has left me underwhelmed with Ashford cineworld.
According to cineworld theatres, the Ashford branch is the 2nd most profitable to the cineworld group. To look within, you would not believe that statistic. The venue has been open for over 10 years and sadly the condition of the inside of the building shows this. Seating within is worn and in dire need of replacement. The seating in the deluxe screen is on the verge of taking itself to the skips, such is the condition. Had I not experienced lavish cineworld venues across the country, I would be none the wiser. I have and now I feel cineworld are letting the people of Ashford down, by not reinvesting in our comfort at one of their highest grossing venues.
Please cineworld, it's time to give back and show Ashford some thanks for the loyal support given to your venue.
