We are on an eight week tour of the major gardens in the UK and it's been a privilege to see close to fifty gardens in that time. How lucky are the locals to be blessed with such a resource as these properties across the UK. Godinton House and Garden is almost the last garden on our schedule and what... More

I have membership this year for the gardens which are amazing. Tea is also delicious and a wide variety with good sized portions. I think it is good value for money.

Godinton is good all year round. Lovely gardens. Delphiniums are particularly good in summer. Wisteria is fabulous in spring as are the daffodils.

We took the guided tour of the house and learnt a lot about the history of this local family and the lives that they led. Wonderful and rare things to see right up close in the house, it's as if the house is still lived in and used and isn't like a show house. Knowledgeable volunteers provide the guide and... More

Visited Godinton today with a small group of gardening club members. We all were very impressed with all of the gardens, most in full bloom with roses and delphiniums, stunning borders and hedge art! Their are two tea rooms, one for basic tea/coffee and soft drinks etc, the other contained in the house offers cream teas and a lovely selection... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this wonderful house, so much of interest in every room which was clearly explained by the excellent and very knowledgeable guides. There are lovely gardens curtained by a yew hedge, which within is a walled garden and other areas including a rose garden, large herbaceous borders and some good specimen trees and shrubs. The... A wonderful way to spend half a day. Free on site parking, not far from Ashford jnc9. Entrance fee for house & garden includes fascinating guided tour of the house. Beautifully laid out & not roped off, you can get close but of course no touching. Sevres china, a silk Aubusson rug, other treasures you’ve read about displayed in situ.... More

I didn't visit inside the house but spend a couple of hours strolling through the lovely gardens. Some of which was quite formal and laid out with topiary hedging with other wilder areas and some fine flowering shrubs. It all felt very intimate and as if still family owned. Not touristy and well worth a visit.
