About
A Day In The Country is an award winning Corporate Events, Team Building and Conference venue based on the Oxfordshire / Northamptonshire border. The venue is set in a 250 acre estate, featuring three trout lakes surrounded by woodland. The hospitality area and conference suite are housed in a magnificent 18th century barn, which has been sympathetically converted to offer the best of both worlds; open log fires combine with the sophistication of a modern conference and hospitality suite. Corporate activities range from Clay Shooting, Archery, Air Pistol Shooting, Rage Buggies, 4×4 Driving, Tractor Driving, Falconry, Hovercraft driving to Team Building Exercises and our Ropes Course and Raft Building.

Tractor driving experience
Sep 2020 • Couples
I eventually got to use the tractor driving experience voucher my wife gave me for Christmas. Not really knowing what to expect especially in these Covid days, but was soon comfortable with the measures that they had put in place, plus the fact that everything is in the open air.
Each of the five machines had an instructor so there were no long waits between tractors.
I know that we had the benefit of superb weather, but I think that it would have been almost as good even if it was pouring down, possibly not for my spectating wife though who would have been googling divorce lawyers!
Loved every minute of it!
However the vintage tractors were everyone’s favourites and several of us left wondering where they could get hold of a ‘56 Ferguson.

A day to remember, a dream come true
Sep 2020
We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived. Tea and biscuits in a delightful barn setting.

Host was very friendly and had time to talk to all parties as they arrived. All staff very polite, helpful and friendly throughout our time there. Despite having to have restrictions in place, nothing was too much trouble.

This was a Christmas present for my son - delayed by Covid 19, an absolute wonderful day from the start to the end. Each ride on various machines was relaxed and gave a very positive experience.

Tractor Experience
May 2019 • Friends
This was a Birthday present and what a great afternoon we had. On arrival we had hot drinks and biscuits. Staff are so friendly and informative and quite a few tractors to have a go on .... Women and men were doing this experience and everyone had massive grins on their faces. You can stand and take photos/videos along side them. The actual Barn is amazing .... highly recommend this experience👍😀.

A great and full expiriance of operating and driving classic and modern tractors
Jun 2018 • Family
I spotted this on the web as a great idea for my dad for his birthday and fathers day.
He's said for some time how be would like to have the opportunity to drive tractors again having worked on farms in the past. So I booked a 2 hrs session driving 4 tractors which turned out to be 5. The little Gray Fergie was hitched to a trailer the crawler was a driving expiriance on it's own the other one I have forgotten the name was attached to a cultivator so you can imagine the full expiriance with the classic tractors.
Then there was a modern jcb loader to load a few palets on a trailer
And a new Holland with trailer that you get to reverse and drive round course.
My dad loved it and received a certificate at the end. I think the £120 spent well worth while with refreshments on arrival for all and a open welcome for spectators as well also given free refreshments.
A very clean good modern looking building to meet up in with bar and large banqueting room also available to hire. And other fun activities also available on site its well worth a visit.

Amazing venue for business team building
Oct 2017 • Business
Attended as part of business strategy & team building day. Sited just of the M40 so very easy to get to. Well signposted with plenty of parking. We were in the great barn. Great entrance hall for everyone to gather in. Breakfast of bacon rolls, tea & coffee provided to give a great start to the day. Separate function room with fantastic seating & projection presentation facilities. Tea , coffee & biscuits provided during break. Great buffet lunch served. During breakfast, tea & lunch all dietary requirements were catered for. Our group contained both vegan & gluten free. Following lunch we were split in to several groups for the team building part of the day. Each activity had its own instructor who were very professional. The activities were also well thought out & the equipment was of great quality & unlike some facilities there was a very low risk around health & safety. I strongly recommend this venue if you are planning an similar event to ours. There was also a bar that we did not use but I expect that this place would also be a fantastic venue for small wedding parties or family parties.

tractor driving
Oct 2016
This was a birthday present for our daughter who had always wanted to drive a tractor. The experience did not disappoint. There were 5 different tractors to drive, ranging from old classics to state of the art air condtioned modern 'beasts'. A great day out.

Fantastic day out
Sep 2015 • Business
We went as part of a corporate reward day, and what a reward it was. I get the impression there are many different activities on offer to cater for different occasions. We did four in total. Firstly, archery in the woods shooting at various targets followed by hovercrafting in a field. After an very nice buffet lunch we did duck and geese herding with a sheepdog followed by clay pigeon shooting. It's sometime the unlikeliest of activities that are the most fun, and that was the case with the duck and gees herding. The instructors and all others were very good and helped to make it fantastic day out. I would love to do it again.

Well worth a visit!
Jun 2015 • Couples
I bought this trip for my husbands birthday as he absolutely loves tractors & this experience did not fail to impress! Everything about it from start to finish was fantastic despite the drizzly weather- from the tea on arrival, friendly instructors/ farmers to the fabulous grounds, farm & surroundings and driving experience itself! It truly is a treat!

Tractor Rides
Nov 2014 • Couples
My husband was given this event as a birthday present. He is obsessed with Fergusson T20 tractors. Despite the rain, this was an excellent event - 4 tractor rides, with ploughing on two of them. The organisation was very good, friendly staff, and coffee on arrival. The location is great and as they were preparing for a wedding that afternoon, the hall was beautifully decorated. A great day out, even for me as photographer!
