Little walk
Jul 2021 • Couples
Nice little walk around leading onto the canals. Signs for activity ideas for children and fitness equipment dotted around the park.

You’ve got great bins.

Great park to visit. Excellent facilities especially the abundance of bins. The one we used near our picnic was a beauty.

Pleasant Open Space near town. Badly waterlogged this winter.
Dec 2019
Great place for a friendly parkrun at 9am every Saturday. Wildlife haven and good signs to inform you of the local animals and plants. Wear wellies in winter for walking..

A great deal of space available for extensive walks and an abundance of interesting trees with easy access directly from the town centre.

A bit Boggy
Jan 2019 • Family
Somewhere to go if you need a walk. The river Cherwell is one side and the Oxford canal the other. It is still suffering from the effects of pipe laying but should recover by summer.

Lovely park.
Nov 2018 • Couples
A lovely park. Lot's of green open space. Footpaths with cycle lanes too. A children's playground at one end. The reservoir is also nearby, which is worth a walk round. Close to Castle Quay Shopping Centre, which some may find useful!

Great position adjacent to canal with good excercise facilities for sports, cycling, jogging & dog walking. There is also a great bmx/skateboard area for people of all ages. Good variety of wildlife.

Park run venue
Aug 2018 • Family
Park run is organised here every Saturday and showcases the park brilliantly. Great also for a leisurely stroll next to the Canal

A great open space next to town centre

Spiceball park has three large large grass areas separated by bands of trees (great for dog walking) - so even though it is large it somehow feels more personal. It's bounded by the Oxford canal on the west, and the River Cherwell on the east.
The first grass area has a kids play area and a skateboard park. This area seems popular with groups of families and/or friends who want to play rounders or put a couple of jumpers on the ground for a quick game of footie.
The further into (north) the park you go, the quieter it gets. So if you want to just have a chill out in a quiet are, Spiceball Park can do this for you too.
The area to the east (over a bridge) is maintained by the local wildlife trust - well worth a vists (though be aware that in rainy times it can get a bit boggy underfoot).
