words escape me writing this. We were booked in for the weekend, arrived at 130, late for a wedding next door at the Buxton Dome, so we checked in (took 20 minutes...) went to the room - or should I say, cleaning cupboard because it...More
On discovering where I was taking her, we arrived at the Hotel, struggled to find a parking space and made our way to the reception.
The reception desk staff were polite and welcoming, although very young.
The room was suitable and clean.

Had to stay at this place again. Not a pleasant experience. Very sad and tired. They staff fall into 2 categories. The one that are young and inexperienced and the mean jobsworths for whom everything is to much trouble. I went for breakfast at 7.00am...More

Upgraded to a standard room.
We had previously booked a 2night stay in another hotel because we had read the reviews about the Palace Hotel. But unfortunately it was a really bad choice ( grotty was being polite and was not a hotel) and left...More
