...........................................................................

........................................................................ Bookstore Brierlow Bar is one of the country's largest independent bookshops, offering incredible breadth and depth of titles and subject areas, for both general and specialist booklovers. Knowledgeable, friendly staff are on hand at all times, in a spacious, relaxing atmosphere in which you can browse at leisure. ***New Coffee Bar*** We are very excited to announce that Bookstore Brierlow Coffee Bar is now open for business! Come and join us for a freshly ground coffee (we are proud to serve Fair Trade), or sample one of our Gold Award winning, loose leaf Novus teas. We have scrumptious sweet treats made by the wonderful Bridge Bakehouse too. And this is just the beginning! Over the coming months, we hope to expand our little seating area and serve light lunches such as salads, sandwiches, soups and paninis. Do come and see us soon! Bookstore Brierlow Bar boasts a large, free car park with picnic tables, and the rivers Dove and Manifold are just a short distance away. We also welcome coaches and appointments are not always necessary.

A great place to stop whether you are walking in the Peak District or just driving past, for all those books and items you may have missed the first time round. You'll get a friendly welcome and help from the informed staff there. And when you have loaded all your purchases into your car, onto your bike or into your... More

We always enjoy a visit to this bookshop and it is rare that we come away without finding an interesting item or too. There are a large number of subjects and categories of books for both adults and children. There is also a large choice of greeting cards and a café too.

We visit this store frequently for maps, wildlife books and fiction. The prices are generally very good and affordable. There is also decent child friendly section with lots of affordable books for all ages and a distinctive teenager section. There are also plenty of general interest sections such as transport, art, history, health, crafts and more. . Now with a great... More

I have passed here many times, but when I heard that a 'coffee shop' had opened I pulled into the car park at the back and headed for the cookery book section! Nestled amongst all the books is a brand new seating area with specialist teas, coffees and amazing cookies and cakes, even gluten free! Two lattes and the most... More

We went to this bookstore for something to do on a rainy day. They claim to be the largest bargain bookshop in the country and I can believe it. They stock a vast array of new books covering every subject imaginable and the prices are unbelievably cheap. I bought an art book for £7 which should have been £30 and... More
