A stroll through Buxton Country park from Poole's Cavern leads to the summit of Grin Low at 1440' altitude and the Victorian viewing tower of Solomon's Temple.Built in 1896 the 20' tower with spiral stairs give a magnificent platform to view the surrounding Peak District landscape and the Spa town of Buxton in the valley below.

It's only about a fifteen minute stroll from the car park up through the woods and it is well worth the effort. The views are great and you can climb the small tower free of charge. It's well sign posted too.

Lovely walk to the temple and great views when at the top, not many steps to get to the top. Worth taking binoculars to check out the views you can see.

The main carpark isnt free but you can park on the streets adjacent to it.

there is a blue, green and yellow route and times are 45 mins 30 mins and 25 mins. distance roughly depends on route 1/4 mile to a mile.
