Time flies when wandering through the shelves of books. A selection of comfy chairs/sofas, some even free of sleeping patrons with opened books in their laps! Great for a distraction from the rain!

Not been to Hay before and hadn't appreciated the character of the Town and its title of book capital. Intriguing is the range of traditional retail stores as well as the trend of coffee shops in every nook and cranny. Booths coffee shop is excellent. Managed to find some old books so didn't leave empty handed. As we were in... More

Beautiful period bookshop with 3 floors. New, used and vintage books. Lots of chairs and some gorgeous lounges to sit on. May have to come back during cafe and cinema opening times!

Was very surprised by the amount of books in this very large Book Shop. This was only a brief visit but would like to return. Unlike so many book shops that tend to smell musty and old, this was a very clean and well preserved shop with more books than you could imagine.

A section for fiction and then reference books, travel books, poetry and loads more. Comfy old couches and chairs for you to sit while you flick through whatever book... More

Hay is a town packed with second hand bookshops and frankly there are probably too many of them, but booth's is probably the best of the lot. It's right in the centre of town, so best to park outside and walk, and it's pretty big. There's also a decent café and a cinema if you get bored looking at the... More

The books are well organised and it has the atmosphere of a library or University. Good restaurant downstairs. Comfy sofas to relax while choosing your books, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
