This an almost hidden walk easily accessible at one end of Dunoon. Look for the arches made of white pebbles. It is a woodland walk up the side of a waterfall. There are a couple of different levels of walk laid out. I walked here often when I was very young and it felt magical.
However though it had been cleaned up a few years ago according to the pamphlet, it felt unloved again and there was evidence of fly tipping. There was only one information sign and it felt rather neglected again. What a pity. It could be an asset to tourists if it was valued by the powers that be.

We spent an hour in Morags Fairy Glen. It is steep in some places but my 5 year old managed it. When you arrive there is a notice about sensible footwear and I would recommend that as some areas were muddy and slippy even though it has not rained for at least a week and it has been very warm. You would not manage it with a pram or buggy.

theres good points and bad points about this glen.

tons of waterfalls make it an interesting visit around a more or less gentle path around.

good place to visit for a family picnic (older children)

The major badpoint is that the pathing has eroded in a couple of spots, with large drops, if taking young children best to have them in rains or ensure to hold onto them especially at those areas with the drops.

The glens paths are due to be upgraded in the near future which will help a lot with the above issue.

It doesnt take very long to walk around 5 minute walk from the nearest swing park and a couple of minutes from the nearest public toilets.

Morag's fairy Glen is a magical place to walk through so I was so upset when I got there the other day it was locked, which is such a shame, not that I have ever seen any fairies! but it is a lovely peaceful place to be you can almost imagine there would be fairies there so hope it opens in near future again.

If you want a lovely long walk in the woods, this is a must visit. Beautiful waterfalls, quiet, peaceful paths and wooden carvings throughout. Nice place for a picnic. Fall is the best time to visit here but any time is nice if you are a nature lover like myself. Wear a pair of wellies as it can be muddy in spots.

Beautiful but be careful. Stunning waterfalls. Shut at the moment. For good reasons. My advice. Stay away
