Authentic retro attraction that will take you on a trip down memory lane. Beautifully recreated models of Godshill and Shanklin Old Villages as they were in the 1920's and 30's. Passionate about details, the models are true representations of the houses, cottages and pubs you can still see in the 'real world'. NHS Partner Garden supporting the work of the Royal Horticultural Society. The gardens are packed with conifers and shrubs in the Japanese style of Niwaki, that will make you want to dash home and start gardening... Our customers tell us we inspire them or that they would like to take one of our gardeners home with them!

Absolutely fantastic. Much much bigger than you first assume. We first walked in and only saw about half of it, then turned the corner and realised it was twice as big as we thought. Typically it was tipping it down when we visited so we...More

What an amazing place! The range of models - people, buildings, activities and sports, cars and planes - and the model railway are accurate and very detailed. The village is set within well established and carefully tended gardens, hedges, lawns and trees and shrubbery. Taken...More

Hi Peter M, Many thanks for the super review. The Model Village has been in the family since 1969 so we do love it here and the team are fantastic at keeping it all ship shape. Hope you enjoyed the Island, Kind regards, Stuart

Family of 4 plus two small children. Great time. The Model Village which I first visited in 1962 is still great and a throwback to a bygone age though with a few modern twists to keep it up to date.

We drove past this place and decided to have a look, really nice place to go for a walk around the IOW, attention to detail is unbelievable. Kept very clean and overall it is a nice little walk.

Recently visited here on family holiday and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the model Village is considering it's only a small place in a small village. Entry was around £5 per adult and £4 for children over 3 but was thoroughly enjoyable spending a...More

This place is absolutely awful. I'd rather have spent the time in the grotty toilets in the car park which is a 6 minute walk away. To start with, the place is based in some old fashioned time which is not to my appeal in...More

Dear Benjamin, You would be very welcome to spend your time in the public toilets down the road if that is what interests you, rather than our family orientated, RHS Partner Garden attraction that has been welcoming lovely visitors since 1952. Thank you for your...More

This Model Village is probably the best we have ever visited. Over the years it has never lost its neatness and cleanliness. Very well cared for and loved. A must see attraction

It is years since I visited the model village. It has certainly grown in that time. Everything extremely well maintained. Worth seeing all the work in keeping trees and shrubs miniature sized. Great little humorous inclusions. You do not need a child to enjoy this...More

Small entrance fee but really lovely surroundings. Took lots of photos. Some areas for shelter if showery weather but today was dry. I liked the model of the model village

It's mostly flat and the few steps can be avoided by other routes. Watch out in the busy road outside as the entrance is on the outside of a sharp bend. Also, the walk from the free carpark in the village has a short section... More
