New Sky Walk- May 2021
May 2021 • Family
Sky walk is a split level outdoor experience. Kids aged 7-13 all enjoyed it. Short safety talk, support to don safety gear and away they went. Staff were patient and kind, offered encouragement when needed. Spent a good hour exploring the zip wires, cargo nets and climbing obstacles. Great value for money, will be returning.

Cheap but chilly, good range of affordable activities.

As a family we regularly swim here. A large cool pool and smaller, warmer learner pool are available. There are large single sex changing rooms plus assisted and family change but these can get busy. The gym is well equipped and has air con. I have never found it too busy. The centre also has a small dry ski slope and sports halls. As a council run facility it is tired and dated but it remains cheap, not too busy with a good range of classes and activities including holiday clubs. There is a cafe onsite and provides good value snacks and small meals. Parking available onsite or roads nearby.

Ski centre
Dec 2019 • Family
Today we went to the ski centre, having booked some adults and children to use the rings on the ski slope. It was supposed to be a fun session, and was reasonably priced too!
However we had an awful experience. The man overseeing the ski centre was horrible, rude (especially to the children) and the safety briefing was completely inadequate. The kids having been told off spent the entire time worrying that they would again be shouted at so they did not enjoy it as much as they should have.
Apart from this the ski slope is small, lugging the rings up was hard work (especially for young/small children) and coming down took about 10 seconds. We thought it might be exhilarating but it was actually quite slow and not much fun.
This on top of the terrible customer service means we will not be returning and would also not recommend this!

GALA.......

Use this facility alot, and got to say the staff are brilliant the facilities good, but the biggest bug bare is the state of the changing rooms and lack of cleaning during busy times.... They need more attention when it's busy, this isn't a one off either... Price wise it's as per expected.... Needs more care and attention to it's cleanliness...

Ski Centre

My son had his second ski lesson today, which he throughly enjoyed, it was such good value for money and i was especially impressed with the young man who was the instructor, there were all levels in this class and he managed to guide everyone with helpful instructions even though they were all abilities and were at different heights of the slope, he was there in seconds if anyone fell over, he is a credit to your establishment.

Fun with grandchildren
Apr 2019
Took the grandchildren here for an introduction to skiing, they had a good time and learnt the very basics of using skies.
A.though they enjoyed the experience, it was hard not to see that the place really needed an complete refurb and upgrading. It was seriously lacking in reasonable and decent looking equipment.
That said the grandchildren want to go again.

Good sized main pool and learner pool
Apr 2019 • Family
Having read the reviews we expected the building to be a bit dated but this doesn't really matter. The flexibility of the public sessions was the important thing for us wanting family time to play with the children in the school holidays. Encouraged use of the family changing rooms also helpful with small children.
The children loved the lights in the small pool and plenty of woggles to play with and the platforms for them to sit on in the bigger pool. Stayed for about hour and a half. Helpful staff.
Sadly the only thing we didn't like was dirty nappies left on the floor – what sort of people do that?

Not bad but in serious need of investment.
Dec 2018
The building as a whole is lacking maintenance and love. The dry ski slope was fun, but tired and in need of replacing.
The pool too has seen better days, but isnt bad.
Parking can be an issue, its a residential street and the residents we saw didnt look impressed at all when we parked.

Foot golf and outdoor ski slope
May 2018 • Friends
It’s a great afternoon out playing foot golf . Kick a football round 9 or 18 holes . It’s fun but can get muddy. There is also a ski run which has inflatable rings to slide down.

Dated and in desperate need of a refurb
May 2018 • Couples
Totally fine if you’ve got kids and need a bit of sports activity but overall this centre is in dire need of attention.

Furniture and equipment is generally a bit dusty and very outdated.

Standards of hygiene in the pool facilities are disgusting.

Choose another pool!

Cheap court hire however again everything is pretty delapadated with rips hanging off poles and dirty unloved location.
