We were on a walk around Folkestone on the way to a friends house but were a head of time . We popped in the Raglan to kill time. The bar is small, the barmaid was polite and helpful. No real ale on the pump, just a selection of bottled beer. Wine by the plastic one glass bottle. The place does look a bit dated, tired and could do with a "makeover".The toilets are at the rear of the bar down a steep short staircase. The toilets were smelly , the floor was wet and slippery. This place seems to be a good watering hole for local residents which it caters for.

Small local pub used by locals
May 2015 • Couples
The number of smokers standing outside on the pavement with the plastic chairs may put you off, but the inside is nicer than we expected, when we popped in for a drink one evening. There was a bar maid and one solitary drinker initially. We took our drinks over to the "saloon" side of the pub. This is not a big place. The other side houses a pool table. More locals arrived to play pool. The atmosphere was relaxed and the regulars even said goodbye to us when we left.

A pint of Carling and a small sized bottle of white wine (airline style) cost £7. Wine is not sold by the glass. We probably will not visit again, but only because I prefer a choice of wines. The beer was fine.
