So popped down there on a very sunny November afternoon.

The paths through the scrub had been cleared and the steps were clean. Just a bit of mud here and there.

The view of the Martello Towers was good.

The view out to France was simply stunning.

Big ships, lots of them.

Big sky.

Big sea.

Big colours.

Big opportunity to fall in love with a view.

We walked The Warren from the Morello towers, through the scrubland that separates the sea from the chalk cliffs. Shame the path is so overgrown, as there are no views out to sea until you reach the rail-bridge, which is nearly at the train tunnel. From there you walk back along the shoreline, watching the shipping do it’s thing in the channel. About 5 miles circular, all in all.

Beautiful walk. Has toilet facilities. Pitt and putt, tennis courts and bowls green are closed for the winter. The playground is neglected and does not appear safe for children

Make the short climb up the steps from the Sunny Sands beach, to this large park to enjoy the amazing views across the whole of Folkestone, but also towards the white cliffs to the east of the town. Amazing viewpoint and great place to walk the dog.

Visited in summer and it was stunning the beach has the white cliffs behind leading onto either the concrete apron or the sandy or stone beach, Behind the beach is woodland and walkways. Great for either a beach day or nature walk and you can walk up to two cafes at different points.

Its worth taking five minutes to stand and stair at the views of the cliffs, the water and on a good day, France over the channel

I camped very close to the country park and was able to walk each day with my dog through a different area. Beautifully serene, bird song at every turn and plenty of greenery and plants about to bloom. A well tended but still natural area. The climb up to Capel-le-Ferne via the zig zag wooden stepped path is a must - but possibly not for those with heart conditions!

We like it here, yes the road is a bit hairy to get down too. And car parking not always the best - depends how others park.
But get over those factors and it’s a lovely walk down to the seafront and take in some views.
When it’s very windy and the tide is in be careful as you will get seriously splashed.
It’s a sandy and pebble beach, and when the tide is in it’s a concrete walkway.

to ramble along the coast at sea level, then do the massive climb back up the cliff for super views back into Folkestone. An exhilarating walk
