I go here regularly, in lunch breaks from work and for events and exhibitions, I think it is a great museum / place to go

Love coming to stockwood for a few hours. The museum usually has a new exhibit every few months so there is something new to see. The gardens are kept beautifully and it's lovely to see in any season. Lots of space for children to let off steam and often learn new things at the same time. Very nice cafe area,... More

I have visited here many times with my grandchildren, and it has always been an interesting visit. There is always something new to see, and discover things you may have missed on previous visits. Full facilities, coffee shop and souvenir shop at realistic prices. Always enjoyable.

My husband and I met some friends and we went with children under 3. There really wasn't much to do for them there at all and if it wasn't for the (rather poor to be frank) play area then they would have been bored silly. Some good info and a good collection of horse drawn carriages. Some nice plants in... More

Just love Stockwood Discovery Centre. It Free so that's a massive plus. We have been back many times over the years and provides a rich source of history for the local area.

A good place to visit to fill a period of boredom. Play areas and café but also a really good display of transport through the ages , particularly all the old carriages and so on. You are best to go on a good weather day to be honest. Most suited to 6-10 year olds I would suggest albeit that we... More

Went along to the country fair yesterday. It was ok. Had a good few hours walk around . Bit disappointed by lack of information on the carriages in the museum. And most of the 'hands on' exhibits are broken. The bee walk through was also very run down. Kids enjoyed the play area.

My elderly sister travelled over from Northampton with her small dog to attend the Farmers Fair (16th April 17) No where on the website does it say no dogs, most farmers market/fairs one is able to take the dog along as kept on a lead. We were refused entry because of her small dog. The dog could not be left... More

Stockwood is usually a great place to visit but the Country Fair feels a rip off. If you charge for it then don't charge for all of the rides, which are expensive especially when compared to Willows Farm when all rides and bouncy castle are included
