We're really glad you enjoyed your day. Had we known of your wish to avoid driving to Bishops Lydeard, we would have made sure that you could have boarded the train at Blue Anchor and returned there by train.

£19 for a return trip or £25 for a 7 day pass both well worth it almost 2 hours each way Friendly staff all very helpful Food in cafe very responsible priced

One option is the local bus, Somerset route 28 runs hourly from Minehead via Watched and Bishops Lydeard to Taunton during the day. The firstgroup/somerset website gives you the timetable

As noted there are lots of nice places in MInehead. I'd recommend the Wheelhouse Cafe, 5 min walk from station. Also the cafe on the seafront is OK for the basics.
