We travelled on the Santa Express with West Somerset Railway this week. We were so impressed by the whole experience which was a Christmas joy and wonderful treat for the children. We felt very safe and it was clear WSR had managed the COVID risks very effectively down to providing seperately wrapped gifts, drinks and snacks within the carriage and even your own hand sanitiser. Santa did a sterling job and was most convincing. The train was clean and beautifully decorated and we have wonderful festive photographs as well as wonderful memories. Thank you to the volunteers at WSR. What a super job you do to preserve these amazing machines for future generations.

We parked in the car park for the seafront and were delighted to see an entry onto the platforms. They were technically closed, shop and tearooms not open but we were able to view the trains and enjoy a walk along the platforms. Will make a point of going back when they reopen.
