Lovely day out, travelling Bishops Lydeard to Watchet. Staff / volunteers friendly and helpful. Views from train nothing spectacular until you are nearer the coast, but still relaxing. Small car park at Bishops Lydeard, could be full when busy. Small cafe and shop which was adequate. Toilets run by local council need an upgrade! Basic cave and shop at Watchet, again adequate with friendly staff.

Took a trip on this steam railway from Bishops Lydeard to Watchet (Somerset) Very Covid compliant. Love steam trains and stood up with head out of window most of the journey enjoying the sounds and soot.... Arrived in Watchet - small area of harbour shops. Sunday market too. Walk to the beach from the station along designated signed pathway. Had approximately 1 hour to look around before boarding train back to Bishops Lydeard Free car parking at Bishops Lydeard station. Toilets/Cafe and Gift Shop Local buses stop alongside the station for those without a car.

The whole experience was amazing with the vintage bus travel an added bonus. A little pricey but not as bad as our local preserved railway which is the NYMR. Very helpful staff and easy parking made the day.
