As a family we did enjoy our journey on the steam and diesel train, the stations are in very good clean condition, not badly priced and staff are very happy to help and answer questions, very well worth a trip

Fantastic day out, especially if you use tesco vouchers. if you are going to try the train, start at Bishops Lydeard as the parking is free. You can hope and off the train as often as you like

We had a return journey from Minehead to Watchet. This was long enough for the age of the children travelling with us (3 and 6 years). Lovely views of the sea and of Dunster Castle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The carriages, train and platform were spotless. We had a brilliant time on Minehead beach afterwards.

Travelled from Washford to Bishop's Liskeard return recently. Behind Steam Engines, absolutely wonderful. The cost was not exhorbitant and we planned to look around the destination village but in the end stayed on the station. We were able to go to the signal box and I went on the footplate of one of the engines. The whole staff were helpful,... More

Booked the Cider and Cheese Lunch special, It is a great day out the volunteers are friendly and helpful. the trains are clean and tidy, the local network services could learn a thing or two. There was a Cream tea special later but couldn't have managed both!

Wow what an amazing heritage railway. 22 miles of track and stations that are lovingly restored to their golden oldie days. Engines galore including diesel and a fantastic station at Minehead with a turntable ,rolling stock, cafe , canopied platforms. Staff so knowledgeable and friendly .It's a must visit attraction !!!

Had a fabulous time even though the weather wasn't so friendly the staff more than made up for it. Even the surly teenagers enjoyed it and that's saying something
