I went to see ‘Stig of the dump’, an adaptation of a children’s book. It was very well done, especially the set and the ‘Stig’ character, which was a sort of puppet moved around by cast members. This was a ‘relaxed’ performance, designed to make...More

This theatre provided lots of laughter and joy. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the 39 Steps show and will definitely be returning if another show catches our eyes.

Brilliant theatre - the birthplace of 'theatre in the round". Also Alan Ayckbourn lives locally and his new and older plays are regularly featured. Excellent theatre tours which give the fascinating history of the building and a real insight as to what it would be...More

An iconic location. We went to see the latest Alan Ayckbourn play "Better Off Dead". Absolutely excellent and staged in the round - in the venue for which it was written.

Sorry for delay in answering but there is no parking at the theatre but try the railway station which is just across the road - we have never failed to find parking there.

On Friday evening you can see Taking Steps or Goth Weekend. On Saturday afternoon and evening is A brief history of women. I have seen all three plays and found them all to be highly entertaining.
