Nice place for a stroll

Nice, well maintained park with a large lake surrounded by gardens. Boating on the lake looked fun if weather good and a round of putting on the mini golf could pass a hour.

This Japanese style park was opened in 1912 and is great for a stroll or more physical exercise of rowing on the lake. The lake is large and also circles an island which has a large waterfall feature in the middle and a bridge. It has a small putting green near the entrance and the main attraction is the pedalos... Me, the hubby + 2 children (7 + 4) spent a few hours here. Free to get in, £7:80 to hire a dragon boat for 1/2 hour. Twice round lake for us. There are also rowing boasts. Then a walk and a picnic. Lovely gardens, peaceful place to be. Defiantly worth a visit.

I always like to spend time in peasholm park it is such a lovely place with its boating lake, swans, ducks and squirrels. The fact that it has a putting green, an oriental part to it as well as holding a military battle just adds to its enjoyment. It is however in need of some maintenance at the present time... More

What a fantastic day to visit Peasholm, the weather quite tropical 71 degrees at 9.00pm at night at all the lights were lit around the lake it looked quite magical. Next morning, still very warm, we returned as our granddaughter want to go on the pedal dragon boats, which gramps found quite tiring, but she helped to pedal. Have to... More

Whatever the time of year this park has something for everyone- the lake is lovely with plenty of activities- plenty of seating and an adequate café for a snack. Parking nearby and also a walk nearby to the Open Air Theatre and also a train and nice cafes.

As a visitor to Scarborough my wife and I thought we would take a walk around to find out about our temporary surroundings. After a stroll around an uninspiring Scarborough sea front we headed back toward our hotel, as we did we stumbled upon Peasholm Park. Wow what a lovely place, gardens are well kept and despite the large amount... More

Family friendly park. The dragon boats are beautiful and we had a very pleasant walk. We didn't go in to see the sea battle as it was starting to drizzle.
