The railway runs pretty much throughout the year and is a great way to get from Peasholm park to the sea life centre. It travels at a good pace giving time to see the views and sights. Remember to scream when you go through the tunnel! At the sea life centre end watch the engine be uncoupled and turned on... More

Thank you for a lovely five star review. I am happy to read that you enjoyed your weekend away. Looking at the photographs you have also posted, I have noticed that they are not of the North Bay Railway in Scarborough, but are of our friends at Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. They also have a tripadvisor page and will be... More

Had a ride on the lovely North Bay Railway from Peasholm to Scalby Mills and back. Memories from visits to Scarborough many years ago and delighted to find that it is as good now as it was then. Clearly still very popular with all ages. Friendly staff, excellent value for money, and an opportunity to take a look at Scarborough... More

First time on the train in about fifty years. Carriages a little different to what I remember. Trains the same. Used to be a tunnel the train did a loop in at the Scalby Mills end to join the front end for the return trip. Thats all gone.

Thank you for a wonderful review. Since your last visit our coaches have been updated and all now have a bit more weather protection. The tunnel you mention was a great feature of the original line. This was removed a few years ago and we now have a turntable, providing great photographic opportunities. I am glad you relived your childhood... More

This dog friendly miniature railway is small in length at 3/4 miles but it's a lovely line that takes you from North Bay to Scalby Mills stations. It is conveniently located for the beach and Peasholm park at North Bay and also the sea life centre at Scalby Mills. Definitely worth a trip on this railway. Also the staff/volunteers are... More

This little train runs from Sea Life centre to Peasholm Park and is a lovely little ride, even in the pouring rain. The staff are very friendly and happy, having a good laugh with you. There is a mix of open and closed carriages, we chose the closed ones as it was pouring with rain. On our return trip, the... More

Been on this train with our kids several times over the past few years while visiting family and still love it! That area around the train is great and you can get off at the other end for the sealife centre of a game of crazy golf!

A wonderful little railway that runs from near Peasholm Park down the the sealife centre at Scalby. My 2 year old loved his first time on a train! Even in October the train runs at 30 minute intervals which is great. Driver very friendly and happy to wave from the train. Views of the Sea and Scarborough Castle as you... More

We did the return trip starting from the sealife centre into the park and then back again..be aware the ticket office this end has no facility for card payments so you must pay cash. We were not aware of this and only just had the correct cash to pay for our tickets. It's a lovely little trip, only takes about... More

Thank you for a lovely five star review. I am happy to read that you enjoyed your time with us. You are correct that our Scalby Mills booking office cannot accept card payments, however Peasholm can. Anyone who intends to pay by card should be informed by our staff of this facility and payment can be taken after the journey.... More

Excellent, the staff were all so very helpful to all ages and abilities, the little cafe was very commendable with great service. The train ride was lovely and very pictures ,very well organised apart from having to cross a very busy road from the car park, defiantly recommend good value for money .

Thank you for a wonderful five star review. I am glad to read you enjoyed the Glass House Cafe also, and that our staff 'were all so very helpful to all ages and abilities'.
