We visited the distillery today under tier 2 restrictions and Annie and her colleagues have innovatevly adapted the experience to ensure covid safety measures are upheld. Nonetheless, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience where Annie took us through in depth the craftmenship behind the making of the whisky at Royal Lochnager Distilery. Thanks very much Annie for making our experience with you! You were so enthusiastic and knowledgable, we both really enjoyed it. We have also enjoyed tasting the samples we got to takeaway as part of the experience.

Even through the distillery itself was closed for maintenance and the tour had to be covid secure, our host Eric did a wonderful job of making our visit very memorable. His knowledge of the history of Royal Lochnagar and the whiskey making process was exceptional and explained very thoroughly. I would highly recommend making a visit to this distillery over others as it has a more intimate / boutique feel! Ask for Eric as your guide! Thanks for a lovely morning Eric, you’ve got a great sense of humour! We can’t wait to try the whisky you recommended us!

We had a great trip with our tour guide Eric. Went on a Friday and had a tour all to ourselves. Eric made the trip so interesting and could answer all our questions. Great experience if you want to learn more about how they make Whisky in a very entertaining way.

My Husband and I visited the distillery on 29 October. We always like to visit a distillery on our travels as my Husband collects whisky. Royal Lochnagar is a small distillery in a beautiful setting. Our guide was Eric and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Due to COVID there was only 4 of us but I liked it and they had great measures in place to make you feel safe due to COVID. The shop is lovely and Gordon in the shop was also helpful and knowledgeable about the whisky the shop had to offer. great price also for the tour and you got to take home your whisky tasters to enjoy at a later time. Thanks guys
