A great park for anyone who appreciates wildlife, walking, Bird watching and good food at the same time. Several walks around the lakes of different lengths and if someone comes with you who can't walk they can sit in the car or on seats along the waters edge and watch the world go by. A good place to introduce kids... More

Walk around the lake , path is fine but can be muddy in places; wear wellies or walking boots. Probably not suitable for a buggy unless it's all terrain. Lush cake in the cafe 😋

Nice, peaceful walk around disused mineral pits. Plenty of wildlife, places to sit, ample car parking and a nice café with toilets.

We took our two small dogs here at the weekend and it was packed out. So many people, cars and dogs. I don't want to diminish the work that is done here but if possible I would visit during the week. It's a fairly small park and best enjoyed when not so busy. Lovely cafe but unfortunately the queues were... More

We often walk here whatever the weather and you can do either the long or short walk and even extend it to walk through Harrold Village. The Cafe is excellent with first class food and e trembly helpful staff.

We often spend a Sunday morning walking around the country park and reward ourselves with either breakfast or lunch. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. This is a great relaxed place for breakfast or lunch.

There are various walks around the country park. Some have hard paths for pushchairs and wheelchairs, others can be a bit softer underfoot. We took the riverside walk thus time and it is stunning along the river. Unfortunately we didn't spot any kingfishers! The cafe servers very good food.

All year round, this place is well worth a visit. The beautiful lakes are full of ducks, swans and geese. Each turn of the lake as you walk around provides yet more stunning vistas. Benches and tables are thoughtfully provided near the adventure playground and cafe. In fact on our last visit in January 2017 many families were picknicking as the... More
