- Carolyn HLondon, United Kingdom245 contributionssupport your local cinemasI actually enjoyed the new cinema with its comfy seats and bar, it seems to be on a permanent discounted rate which is more affordable, and the wine wasn't much over priced. Viewing angles all good, 3 hour Tarrentino movie and my bum didn't even get numb.Visited August 2019Written August 25, 2019

- Mplipm326 contributionsGood VueVisited this new cinema for the first time. The riverside development has many of the usual suspects in terms of places to eat. Car park not open so had to park in the multi storey opposite. We went to screen 1 which has a steeply raked auditorium. We sat in a ‘standard’ seat which was well spaced and very comfortable. The view was very good and the sound system one of the best I’ve experienced. Overall a good experience.Visited January 2018Traveled as a coupleWritten January 8, 2018

Come with my wife and son, my wife tried a voucher website for a discount, we checked with the manager before committing to the website deal, he said what ever it does we will sort it out which was very nice of him.
We went to the till and gave the code to the lady, the offer didn’t come up as we thought, so my wife asked to speak to the manager, the lady took great offences at this and said there was no need for that and my wife was speaking out of turn, I jumped in and explained this was what we were asked to do, the lady still was getting her ten pence worth in while the manager was coming, this was uncalled for and was a repeat of what she already said and was starting to upset my wife, I explained again this was what we were asked to do.
The manager come and my wife explained were we were at, the lady again jumping in while my wife was explaining (she should of put her side in afterwards if she felt that way, very unprofessional in front of us).
The voucher site wasn’t worth the aggravation which we all agreed on, we all managed to clear the air towards the end but we still felt offended by the lady’s reactions. The manager saved the day was very extremely nice so.
Also food wise it was far to expensive, we got 2 drinks a popcorn, 2 bags of sweets, come to £22. We expect to pay more at a cinema, I would of thought the £15 mark should of been where this was at, hay ho.
Screen was nice, good sound so we hope to come again and hopefully I can give a better rating next time.

Excellent cinema and tremendous value for money. I’m used to going to Cineworld in Stevenage, never again, mainly due to costs and facilities. I tried the vip seats which gave plenty of comfort as well as leg room, just can’t wait to return,

We first visited this cinema in July , and were not impressed, We decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and try again as its a lovely Cinema and we like to support our home town of Bedford. The second visit was actually worse
The escalators going up to the Cinema were absolutely filthy, No one was cleaning anything, there were a group of around six lads and one girl who were the supposed staff gathered around a desk, they seemed more intent on fooling about than doing any actual work. They were squirting each other with cleaning fluid and seemed to find it hilarious, they were chatting loudly (not about work) and completely ignored the customers sitting in front of them.
There was no one to show you to your seat despite the group of staff messing about nearby, we attempted to purchase a drink, but were told we couldn't have it unless the ticket was seen. This meant having to go all the way back to the foyer after queuing up. I understand the reasons why, but surely there could be a notice stating you need your ticket before you get to the counter. The staff serving were rude and unhelpful. The lifts were broken, Also on both visits the ingredients for the Nachos were not available, so you could have Nachos without cheese sauce (not a major issue) but disappointing nevertheless. Same price charged though. This industry has been through a tough time during Covid, but this cinema does not seem to care, I would not go back as the place is awful, grubby and unloved, and it shows. Cineworld here we come...

I booked 2 seats online, and these seats didn't have another seat in front, I then found that there was a safety wall in front instead. So I had less leg room than every other seat in the auditorium, and the wall was in my eye-line for the duration of the movie. This was not disclosed or pictured on the seating map on the website.
I sent a complaint email to Vue, only to be given the response that I should book online next time, where I can see the seating plan and pick more preferable seats. They didn't even read my email and just sent a canned response.

Good seat pricing, easy to use website and to make bookings, the staff were polite, pleasant and helpful.
The seats were comfortable, it was clean and everything worked as it should.
Toilets were clean.
What more can you want, definitely the best option out of all the competition and certainly leads the way forward other chains should to take example from.
Well done Vue cinema 😊

My 13 year old daughter went to this cinema yesterday with a friend. As the friend’s mum had bought the tickets, my daughter offered to buy the popcorn. The cost of this was just over 10 pounds, which is ridiculously expensive, but she paid with a twenty pound note. As the film was about to start, she hurried in to find her seat, before checking her change and finding she had been given 5 pounds less than she should have been given!! When she went back to explain the problem, she was told that without a receipt nothing could be done. However, she was never given a receipt when she bought the popcorn!!!
Either the person on the till was dishonest or bad at maths, but either way a cost of over 16.00 for one lot of popcorn proved a very expensive day out!!!!

It’s easy to see why the tickets here only £4.99 any show any day the place was completely full of rubbish so much so that we ended up moving it off of the seats so that we could sit down, it was all over the floor all up the stairs there was cans , popcorn buckets , carrier bags full of rubbish and assorted other debris from previous shows, being only £4.99 per ticket doesn’t make up for having to sit and watch a film on top of a rubbish tip, come on vue you can do better than this, we were so disappointed that we have made the decision never to return to this cinema again.

Went to see Star Wars and was very impressed by the cleanliness. We had not pre-booked our seats and did not have to wait long to purchase tickets. The toilets were also clean. Their is a lift up to the cinema or you can choose to use the escalator.

I bought 2 tickets for lion king and 2 popcorn totalling £20.96 and then the computer crashed, (at this point i already swiped my card) few minutes fiddling nothing happened. The young man called the manager and swiped my card again and i said to the manager it will not double charged me would it, he said it will but it will refund it back and that was 30th of July. My cheap afternoon boredom trip to the cinema is not so cheap as it cost me £41.92 for 2 people. Thieves refund me my money. I will never go back to this cinema again.

Great price for all shows just under £5. Staff are friendly What more can you ask for? Comfortable seats and warm inside. Popcorn can be expensive. Great location as the restaurants and Treat Street are downstairs. Parking £1 for up to 4 hours at River Street multi storey car park. It was convenient until some town council eejiots decide to stop the exit to Commercial Road. Otherwise, highly recommended
