Great Roman section in the basement, and the day ticket allows you to come and go all day which gives you a break. On site restaurant, seemed ok

Biggish, nice café bit expensive for food but not bad, good for most ages under 4's might get a bit bored after a little while. But got a good array of interactive and reading information for you to see. Close to the centre of Carlisle and very close to Carlisle castle as well.

I am a local lad who has seen various changes in my home city and have found myself visiting Tullie House this summer to just sit and remember over a coffee and watch the visual display of places now no more in Carlisle. It takes me back to those years. This is something Tullie House does really well but you... More

I live in Carlisle and regularly take my Grandkids 11/12 to Tulle House. This is wonderful place to visit to have fun and learn through interactive games, videos and special exhibitions. The museum was awarded Family Friendly Museum of the Year. The staff are so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and can answer all your questions. We have an awesome history in... More

Lots of interesting and informative things plus great food in a relaxed atmosphere. There's a shop with walking books and maps plus knick knacks of interest. Well worth a visit

This is not the national museum. This is a small city museum, and has more history to cover than Liverpool, Birmingham or any city (except London) in the United Kingdom. So, covering over 2000 VERY active years in a building this size is hard to do. But they have done it well. From the Romans (and that is an excellent... More

Had a lovely time at the how to train your dragon exhibition. Number 2 child enjoyed trying to recognise the illustrations and marry them too the books. Would recommend to anyone but particularly any dragon trainers out there. Quite a few photo opportunities. Staff helpful, activities enjoyable tku. Look forward to returning for the next exhibition :-)

We went recently for the hoe to train your dragon exhibition. It was really good and kept the kids entertained. So imaginative. Overall a good visit, the kids enjoyed searching the museum for the dragons and collecting their prize at the end. Shame the cafe isn't great. Definitely recommend taking a picnic and just purchasing drinks. You can then have... More
