What a simply lovely place. We popped over to visit this NT venue, were a little surprised by the compact car park so didn’t believe it was one. It’s a very small but stunning venue. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. It’s beautifully preserved...More

This is a very unprepossessing monument, staffed by helpful people. Its not large, however it is working. You can see the waterwheel going round and this drives a large vertical shaft in the main room. It gives a really good idea of what the working...More

In the middle of a large drab housing estate in a valley it’s incredibly difficult to get a decent car park space & don’t even think about the towns poor public transport system.

Visited Bourne Mill on a beautiful sunny day and the photo opportunity across the pond was stunning. We didn't visit the mill itself as didn't have much time left in the day. Parking can be found along the main road for free if you just...More

Visited on a sun baked day and was enjoyable. The building isn’t huge so doesn’t take too long to get around but is very interesting nonetheless. There is tea and food available which you can enjoy whilst watching the birds on the pond. Would recommend...More

Chanced upon this lovely piece of local history whilst following a defective sat nav, well worth the visit. Lovely friendly and well informed guides. You won’t be here too long but you should have a very enjoyable time; we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Dog friendly...More

The building has a working mill wheel, turned by the water running off the adjacent pond. We were given an extensive and informative talk by a volunteer, explaining the history of the building and trades that have used the mill over the years. The building...More

We visited on a very wet April day but we were still fantastic by this unusual mill. A fascinating part of Elizabethan history. Parking is a nightmare but don’t be defeated it is worth the stress to visit this unique part of history.
