You have to book the venue for a function. You have to travel by boat so don't dress up. Very rustic. Nice views. Nothing special.

The packing shed is just a short boat trip from the hard, with lovely views. regular cream tea open days are offered, these are cheap and a fundraiser, making a lovely afternoon on the island, with talks on the oyster history etc it can be informative. take a picninc and a blanket and enjoy the lovely views. You need to visit only when the weather is good, otherwise you may be disappointed. A glimpse of local fishing history, but not to much to see. The boat trip out and back to the packing shed is interesting. Good place to hire for a private party, but the weather is important.

So good that you'll have to wait to get in at busy times as they do not take booking. You can take your own bread and wine if you wish. The fish and seafood could not be fresher.

Had lunch with 2 friends. As prescribed took a baguette and butter, we also took our own wine but there are local wines available at very reasonable prices. We had a big variety of sharing dishes including their beautiful oysters. Sadly a dish of mussels were overcooked and inedible. We sat next to the door which people had trouble closing... More
