Just took my 12 year old to see Playhouse Creatures - excellent amateur dramatics, intimate studio theatre, great building with a large bar area. Highly recommended.

To this wonderful little theatre last week to see fabulous new musical, Rockstar, in its UK premier. The Headgate is the perfect small venue for theatre - good sight lines from every seat in the house, warm friendly staff, good sound system and friendly bar.

My first Paper Lantern production, but definitely not my last! A great production at Headgate Theatre - a lovely little theatre in Colchester - professional, atmospheric and inclusive. Can't wait till my next visit!
