Went to this theatre recently - always enjoyable. Stopped for a bite to eat before the performance in the adjoining restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to find the food very reasonable - good value for money and also very convenient. Would recommend this for just a glass of wine as well.

We visited the Mercury Theatre to watch "The Play That Goes Wrong" and we were impressed not only with the show but the friendly theatre staff. The auditorium is very nice with ample leg room, so you don't have to stand up to let people pass. I will definitely be returning in future to watch other performances.

My husband and I were looking online for somewhere to take our daughter for a night out for her 15th birthday and we came across this show. Admittedly my husband and I love rock music and our daughter is starting to follow in our footsteps so it goes without saying 'we had to go'. We were slightly disappointed with our... More

To start with thought I posted last month but didn't. Anyway came here with my parents like I do every year but this year was one of my favourites. We saw the panto Dick Whittington in the evening showing. This year was certainly my favourite as there was so much ad-lib in there from the Dame and Jack. Certainly some... More

The range covers local theatre groups and performers, one-off evenings of comedians, talks, dance, music etc., musicals, drama, classic theatre, farces and comedy - the list is endless. The standard of the productions is well above the expectation of a provisional theatre. The theatre... More

Excellent small theatre venue. Highly recommended as a family afternoon out. Worth the extra cost as opposed to going to the cinema. Actors always engage well with audience and perform to a high standard. Best theatre outside of London hands down.

The Mercury theatre never lets you down. Everyone is so welcoming. You have to remind yourself that you're not sitting in the West End as the shows are top class!
