With the town of Rotherham suffering from such recent bad press, one would be forgiven for wanting to give this gritty Northern town a wide berth. However Rotherham as one of the finest recreational parks in South Yorkshire, if not the best. Clifton Park, is the Jewel in this post industrial towns crown. I have been visiting the aforementioned Park... More

Been here today for the first time and had a great time. There are good rides for yonger children at a great price. 12 tokens for £10 and each ride is only 1 token, making each ride less than £1. The splash area is really good to have a paddle and my 6 year old loved the fountains but this... More

Visited here primarily to research relatives in the Yorkshire and Lancashire regiment. The museum is very interesting with some good displays . The archive room is packed with useful records. Thank you to the archivist on duty the day we visited. He was very helpful and found some interesting articles and regimental records.

A very well judged account of the history of Rotherham, made accessible by avoiding excessive detail to read and having plenty to look at. Attractive displays in a gorgeous C18 house.Really impressed with the thought and effort that has gone into the museum and adjacent park. Staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful too. Thoroughly recommended! Would go again without any... More

We visited just after the Lions birthday and was greeted by a very friendly lady who offered us lots of information and advice on walking through the museum. A hidden gem. The artefacts are really interesting and the war shelter made us feel what it would have been like back then. We ate at the cafe and received amazing, friendly... More

This museum is complete with many local artefacts and local history. It is a compact museum with individual rooms designated for separate displays.
