Next to the sea!
Oct 2021
A very good 4 out of 5 place. It is right next to the sea front but there is not much there. It still make an enjoyable walk though.

this is a very scenic area with a lot to see, many birds and it was an enjoyable walk for the whole family.

Enjoyable short visit....
Sep 2021
We have visited before, but quite a few years ago, and this visit was only a short one before heading home.

Lots of beautiful open space to explore - and only about 3 miles from the Clock Tower at Skegness - but such a different world!

Didn`t see too many birds but that didn`t matter, views more than make up for it.

Enjoyed by all, will take a picnic next time and stay for longer.

Good coastal walk
Sep 2021
What a splendid contrast to Skegness and the rest of the Lincolnshire Coast. Wished we had had more time here and were more bird watching experts. Nevertheless worth the trip to get here and enjoy the coast, salt marsh and quiet. Very pleasant cafe and shop. Some of the cleanest toilets ever visited. Well done.

Birds and big skys
Sep 2021
absolutely breath taking. had a wonderful cycle around the point. would recommend it for any visitor to skegness. it kind of reminds you how beautiful this world is. the visitor centre was busy but welcoming and they've got lots of interesting things in their shop. just had a coffee and a cake but they were offering food. Toilets are clean and the staff were friendly.

Trip down memory lane
Sep 2021
My Grandmother, a lifelong birdwatcher, brought us here some 50 plus years ago. We enjoyed a long walk around the reserve, much spent on the beach where the highlight was viewing a seal. There is a large expanse of sand but as ever take care on the banks because the tide changes swiftly and can cut the inattentive off. After the exercise we tried the cafe and it was very good, the service was fine and we ate all that was provided with a very nice cappuccino. The food was cooked to order which takes longer and was worth the wait.

Great walks and views, but not great deal of wildlife. Cafe staff seemed friendly and pleasant. Toilets were clean.

A Wild and WIndswept visit
Aug 2021
Have been here a few times, including just after the Visitors Centre was destroyed by floods. A very open area with extensive walks and good viewing of birdlife. (the Visitor centre has now been rebuilt).

Great Reserve, Awful Cafe
Aug 2021
Awful cafe is simply the worst. Rudest staff in Skegness. Dirty, uncleared tables. Simple menu but nothing available to order. Tripping over overpriced tat for sale. My advice, take your own picnic and use the outdoor tables.

Dirty cafe, rude 'service'
Aug 2021
After a long drive we were excited to arrive at Gibraltar Point Cafe. Inside was disappointing, many tables left uncleared. We found one free of used crockery, but it had not been cleaned, food on the table and chairs. A tired, dog-eared minimal menu did not inspire. I went up to the servery to enquire what the soup of the day was. "No soup" snapped the assistant. No welcome or smile either. "Okay, we would like two jacket potatoes thanks." "No potatoes." snapped the assistant. Getting a little frustrated and hungry, I asked what they did have available. "It's all there on the menu." Unhelpful, unfriendly. The building is impressive but my advice is - take your own sandwiches.
