Wow what can I say , if there was an award for a dump these guys would win it every time . After seeing there hotel on four in a bed and was visiting this area a couple of week after it was aired I thought why not and book in for a couple of nights . What can I say , the food was cold , the stumpy lady behind the bar coughed in my coffee and never even gave me another one ! Then to top it off , one of the rooms was being used as a knocking shop delightful ! Avoid like the plague

Myself and 3 other adults along with our 5 children stumbled upon this hidden gem last weekend. Being down since Wednesday afternoon we were very disappointed to have only found this establishment Saturday afternoon, the staff were nothing but friendly all afternoon and made us all feel like regulars and part of the family from the word go, an Oldish dark haired woman took our order and let me just tell you the steak pies are to die for I could have ordered another if I weren't so full from the giant portions, the kids meals were more than big enough for our 5 and not skimpy like previous meals we had had elsewhere during the week, the only fault with our food was that we didn't have room for desert LOL. We decided to go shortly after our meals but we couldn't let that be the end of our experience with the Kingshead as we were back by 9 for the entertainment. Normally Karaoke as we were informed by a young blonde waitress who could have occupied my children for days but bingo and a quiz this week was definitely worth the trip back down although to my dismay I didn't win the house, that didn't stop me my partner and friend with our kids having one of the truly best nights away of our lives, definitely somewhere to go back to, couldn't recommend enough Thankyou for the members of staff who made it so memorable
