Daughter loved it
Aug 2021 • Family
We have just been today and its a great idea for the kids. They have benches all around for families to sit down on. It was really hot and seems to trap the sun. But weather is the weather and this place for free is a great idea. The little dips the kids love splashing in.
The kids also like the sprinklers to play and for free really cant go wrong. 😁😁

Lovely and clean.. not to be missed
Jul 2021 • Family
This is such a lovely place. Kids enjoyed it. Only thing is we thought this was a completely flat surface but in fact there are dips where the water is so we had to go round with our two year old incase she fell and hurt herself, she couldn't really be left unattended on her own as it was to risky if she fell. Not a problem really but be mindful if you take under 2s. Our nearly 4 year old didn't have a problem at all running around. Really nice and clean and clearly looked after. Definitely worth a visit.

Open but empty
Jun 2021
We walked past on a windy and wet day and although the gates were closed they weren't locked. The fountain was working along with other water spouts. Just too cold for anyone to venture in. It's great to see it all painted up and full of water.

We walked around The Axenstrasse too, as you do - shame they took the roof off!

This paddling pool is open.

Sometimes it is really hard to find if something is open or not. I can confirm this is open and was full at the weekend. Plenty of places to sit around the paddling pool. Free to enter. Thumbs up

let down as closed

we travelled an hour to visit fairy Dell as it looked great, but it was all locked up and the pools were drained. not sure if this was because of Covid or of it is permanently closed but was very disappointed as nothing was showing it was closed.

Came here for childhood holidays and returned after almost 50 years. Brought back great memories and even had a paddle. Great fun 🙂🙂🙂🙂

Free and Fabulous!

Could spend hours here. It has been here for many many years, my mum played in it as a child, as did i and now i take my son. Skegness has a special place in our hearts and the Fairy Dell even more so, and its free!

Well maintained, and a sun trap as the 'rocks' act as a wind block so even on windy seafront days, here you feel like you are in spain!

Fantastic and free!

We went with 2 young children who had an amazing time. The shallow water and fountains have them a few hours of fun. There is only 2 ways in/out so parents can sit and relax whilst watching their children.

Still here after all these years!
Aug 2019
There's an info board alongside telling how and when the Fairy Dell came into being - the fountain was a lampstandard in town in the late 19th Century!

It's good to see it still there and in use by paddlers as it has been for many years.

I can remember visiting in the 1960s when the Axenstrasse still had its roof.
