Lovely looking cinema but really needs money spent to bring up the standard. Many broken and uncomfortable seats and renowned for having sticky carpets. Toilets and staircases need modernising as well. With no other cinema in close vicinity this cinema could be a goldmine.

Probably the worst cinema I have ever been to! We were in screen 2 which had the smallest screen I have ever seen, it felt like I was in somebody’s living room........ a really dirty living at that! There wasn’t even any surround sound??? First...More

This is very much a traditional cinema in art deco style but it does need a bit of work here and there. In particular the toilets look pretty tatty and look like they were last decorated in 1991 so don't go expecting a modern chain...More

Cheap deal on a Tuesday was great but cinema is outdated, needs renovation and is cold. Had to wear coats throughout film. There is no other local cinema so they could potentially significantly improve the number of customers by improving the venue. They could do...More

This is a beautiful art deco cinema and only one of a handful of listed cinema buildings left in the country of this style and design. I would have loved to have seen and visited it when it was first opened in the 1930s. The...More

It is an older style traditional cinema with theatre type seats without drink spaces etc. We enjoyed our visit and had clear uninterrupted view of the screen in the upstairs part of the cinema. The price is also better than some of the newer cinemas,...More
